Issue30  The primary goal of technological advancement should be to increase people's efficiency so that everyone has more leisure time.

5。总结

Living in such a world with rocketing development of technology, people must have been thought to enjoy much convenience so they should have more leisure time. However, as far as I am concerned, the purpose of technological advancement is not concentrated only on increasing people's efficiency but also on meeting human beings' curiousness by exploring unknown realms, to have more leisure time is not an inevitable byproduct of either.

Foundationally, a probe would find out that technology advancement firstly result from the endeavors to offer useful tools to increase people's efficiency. The basic technology revolution somewhat could be pointed to " the first great step", that ancient people had learned to use simple tools other than their hands since they realized that some jobs were far beyond their capability or they could only do in a quite time-consuming way without the help of tools. So somehow like the prime instruments, almost every advancement human beings have made is based on the needs of living better.  For example, the sewing machine helps people accelerate their speed to do sewing; computer is a great invention to solve problems which would take a mathematician over one or even more years before.  As the same, Watt's steamer in 18th century was not only an engine of a boat or a train but also a motor to a more efficient time. Those technological advancements, to some extent, are all created on the purpose to liberate people from laborious jobs.

Another goal of the technological advancement lies in meeting human being's innate curiousness.  People are born with a curious sense about unknown matters, no matter they are ultimately found to be dangerous or boring.  Such curiousness sometimes acts as a motivation of a new advancement of technology.  For instance, if people, enveloping Brother Whites, were not so eager to why human beings can not fly as the birds do, there would no such great and significant invention, airplane, appear. Also, if it were postulated that there is no curiousness on the situation out of the earth where human beings live, astronautics would not be so developed to send Armstrong to the moon.  In brief, some advancements of technology are somehow impulsed by people's curiosity.

However, no matter how the technological advancements arouse up, spurred by the needs or by the curiosity, they do greatly change the people' life style, but not necessarily a more leisure one. Sometimes, they do make people even much busier than ever before. Certainly, there are numerous examples to show how people are influenced by the technological advancements and are made idle since plenty of machines have taken over them on doing many jobs and convenient transports have saved so much time for them, but the same is the opposite examples.  Living in a time with highly advanced technology, people have to pay more time to learn much to keep the pace with it, and make them not be washed out from their work positions. And what is more, they also have to arrange matters compactly in a single day since with the machines' help, a single matter would take less time than before.  People are really more efficient but to try to catch up the speed of machines even makes them busier.

In sum, the goal of technological advancement does not only stand on the single point to increase people's efficiency, also it results from the curiousness of human beings sometimes. With the convenience brought about by the innovations, people are more efficient but one cannot take granted that they will have more leisure time.(598 words)

Issue30 The primary goal of technological advancement should be to increase people's efficiency so that everyone has more leisure time.

Living in such a world with rocketing development of technology, people must have been thought to enjoy much convenience so they should have more leisure time. However, as far as I am concerned, the purpose of technological advancement is not concentrated only on increasing people's efficiency but also on meeting human beings' curiousness by exploring unknown realms, to have more leisure time is not an inevitable byproductwhy not a product but a byproduct? of either.

Foundationallytypo error??, a probe would find out that technology advancement firstly result from the endeavors to offer useful tools to increase people's efficiency. The basic technology revolution somewhat could be pointed to " the first great step", that ancient people had learned to use simple tools other than their hands since they realized that some jobs were far beyond their capability or they could only do in a quite time-consuming way without the help of toolsthis sentence's so long. So somehowwrong word using? like the prime instruments, almost every advancement human beings have made is based on the needs of living betterthere is a distance to "efficient". For example, the sewing machine helps people accelerate their speed to do sewing; computer is a great invention to solve problems which would take a mathematician over one or even more years before. As the same, Watt's steamer in 18th century was not only an engine of a boat or a train but also a motor to a more efficient time. Those technological advancements, to some extent, are all created on the purpose to liberate people from laborious jobs. the former part is somewhat besides the point, whereas the latter is not deep enough on analysis though it is rather wide

Another goal of the technological advancement lies in meeting human being's innate curiousness. People are born with a curious sense about unknown matters, no matter they are ultimately found to be dangerous or boring. Such curiousness sometimes acts as a motivation of a new advancement of technologymotivation<>purpose. For instance, if people, enveloping Brother Whites, were not so eager to why human beings can not fly as the birds do, there would no such great and significant invention, airplane, appearthere is a converse causal relation. Also, if it were postulated that there is no curiousness on the situation out of the earth where human beings live, astronautics would not be so developed to send Armstrong to the moon. i cannot agree that it is just a curiosity to make people want to step into moon :p In brief, some advancements of technology are somehow impulsed by people's curiosity.a weak paragraph for some critical fallacies; i do not think such a topic sentence is well established with a comparable depth as that in the first body

However, no matter how the technological advancements arouse up, spurred by the needs or by the curiosity, they do greatly change the people' life style, but not necessarily a more leisure one. Sometimes, they do make people even much busier than ever beforehaha good . People are really more efficient but to try to catch up the speed of machines even makes them busier.a well accomplished paragragh. but it seems not sufficient enough for its position in this issue.  maybe i would like to seperate this part into the factors of the other two bodies as mentioned in the top

In sum, the goal of technological advancement does not only stand on the single point to increase people's efficiency, also it results from the curiousness of human beings sometimes. With the convenience brought about by the innovations, people are more efficient but one cannot take granted that they will have more leisure time.(598 words)

Living in such a world with rocketing development of technology, people must have been thought to enjoy much convenience so they should have more leisure time. However, as far as I am concerned, the purpose of technological advancement is not concentrated only on increasing people's efficiency but also on meeting human beings' curiousness[=> curiosity] by exploring unknown realms, to have more leisure time is not an inevitable byproduct of either.[后半句主语用不定时标目的,而leisure time是结果,再斟酌]

Foundationally, a probe would find out that technology advancement firstly result from the endeavors to offer useful tools to increase people's efficiency. The basic technology revolution somewhat could be pointed to[? =>considered as] " the first great step", that [=>in which]ancient people had learned to use simple tools other than their hands since they realized that some jobs were far beyond their capability or they could only do in a quite time-consuming way without the help of tools. So somehow like the prime instruments[=>tools, instruments感觉太现代化了], almost every advancement human beings have made is based on the needs of living better.[leading a better life] For example, the sewing machine helps people accelerate their speed to do sewing; computer is a great invention to solve problems which would take a mathematician over one or even more years before[=>to accomplish in the past]. As the same, Watt's steamer in 18th century was not only an engine of a boat or a train but also a motor to a more efficient time. Those technological advancements, to some extent, are all created on the purpose to liberate people from laborious jobs.
这段讲technology development improve people’s efficiency

Another goal of the technological advancement lies in meeting human being's innate curiousness.[=>curiosity ] People are born with a curious sense about [+the] unknown matters, no matter they are ultimately found to be dangerous or boring. 请赐教]Such curiousness sometimes acts as a motivation[impetus 如何?motivation 一般是对人而言] of a new advancement of technology. For instance, if people, enveloping Brother Whites,[莱特兄弟不是这个,具体我也忘了,查道再贴上来] were not so eager to why human beings can not fly as the birds do, there would no such great and significant invention, airplane, appear. [这句有问题,你是要写他们发明airplane吧]Also, if it were postulated that there is no curiousness on the situation out of the earth where human beings live, astronautics would not be so developed to send Armstrong to the moon. In brief, some advancements of technology are somehow impulsed by people's curiosity.
这段是meets curiosity

However, no matter how the technological advancements arouse up, spurred by the needs or by the curiosity, they do greatly change the people' life style, but not necessarily a more leisure one. Sometimes, they do make people even much busier than ever before. Certainly, there are numerous examples to show how people are influenced by the technological advancements and are made idle since plenty of machines have taken over them on doing many jobs[?wrong expression] and convenient transports have saved so much time for them, but the same is the opposite examples. Living in a time with highly advanced technology, people have to pay more time to learn much[ +than before] to keep the pace with it, and make them not be washed out from their work positions. And what is more, they also have to arrange matters compactly in a single day since with the machines' help[the help of machines 一般这么用吧], a single matter would take less time than before. People are really more efficient but to try to catch up the speed of machines even makes them busier.
这段先讲人们leisure time 是由于machines & convenient transportation; busier 是由于have to learn more , & tight schedule

In sum, the goal of technological advancement does not only stand on the single point to increase people's efficiency, also it results from the curiousness of human beings sometimes. With the convenience brought about by the innovations, people are more efficient but one cannot take granted that they will have more leisure time.
(598 words)

用increased leisure time或者having more leisure time如何?

Sorry, something is wrong with the Chinese system in this machine, and I’ll have to comment in English. FT~~

Needle JJ: Your writing skill is quite fluent, but I am afraid you might pay more attention to the structure and main point.

Now that I think there are three key words you should take into account in your issue: “primary goal”,” people's efficiency”, “more leisure time”, therefore, you are expected to discuss them in your issue.
However, you are mainly focus on the first one—goal, and neglect the following two. In your essay, you should answer the question:
Is it the primary goal of technological advancement?
Does it increase people’s efficiency?
Even if people’s efficiency has increased,  how about their leisure time?

Anyway, this issue is not merely discuss what is the goal of technology, is it?
hehe, what stated above is my own suggestion, you can refrence to it or stick to your original one. +U~~~
Pushing up the limit,
Dance with GRE~~~
Enjoy our hard lives.
Bless!!!~~~

The basic technology revolution somewhat could be pointed to " the first great step", (这个后面的that引导的应该是同位语,仍然不知道是不是可以这样用,印象中,只有少数如information一类词才可以这样用同位语从句的,但是语法书今天一下午我没有找到相关内容)that ancient people had learned to use simple tools other than their hands since they realized that some jobs were far beyond their capability or they could only do in a quite time-consuming way without the help of tools. 。。

Another goal of the technological advancement lies in meeting human being's innate curiousness. People are born with a curious sense about unknown matters, no matter they are ultimately found to be dangerous or boring.(仍然是用法,no matter 后是不是要加点东西?) Such curiousness sometimes acts as a motivation of a new advancement of technology. For instance, if people, enveloping Brother Whites(挺新的用法,木有听说过,呵呵,欢迎交流), were not so eager to why human beings can not fly as the birds do, there would no such great and significant invention, airplane, appear. Also, if it were postulated(这么用可以么?欢迎交流)that there is no curiousness on the situation(这个次用的有点怪) out of the earth where human beings live, astronautics would not be so developed to send Armstrong to the moon.

Living in a time with highly advanced technology, people have to pay more time to learn much to keep the pace with it, and make them not be washed out from their work positions.(wash 可以这样用?不过这个偶不确定) And what is more, they also have to arrange matters compactly in a single day since with the machines' help, a single matter would take less time than before. People are really more efficient but to try to catch up the speed of machines even makes them busier.

In sum, the goal of technological advancement does not only stand on the single point to increase people's efficiency, also it results from the curiousness of human beings sometimes. With the convenience brought about by the innovations, people are more efficient but one cannot take granted that they will have more leisure time.(598 words)结尾挺好的。

no matter they are ultimately found to be dangerous or boring.(仍然是用法,no matter 后是不是要加点东西?)

是我疏忽了!//sigh...no matter how they are ultimately found to be dangerous or boring. :(

if people, enveloping Brother Whites(挺新的用法,木有听说过,呵呵,欢迎交流), were not so eager to why human beings can not fly as the birds do, there would no such great and significant invention, airplane, appear. Also, if it were postulated(这么用可以么?欢迎交流)that there is no curiousness on the situation (这个次用的有点怪) out of the earth where human beings live, astronautics would not be so developed to send Armstrong to the moon. In brief, some advancements of technology are somehow impulsed by people's curiosity.

if it were postulated虚拟假设

Living in a time with highly advanced technology, people have to pay more time to learn much to keep the pace with it, and make them not be washed out from their work positions.(wash

wash out 淘汰
