As people rely more and more on technology to solve problem, the ability of human to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.


As the development of today, technology have been bringing our many advantages, and our life has been becoming convenient though it. Meanwhile, some people hold the argument that our thinking ability ourselves can be decreased by relying more on technology. In spite the conclusion seems reasonable, but it exists absolutely assertion, and it is obviously not with a logic analyzed process. In other words, more relying on technology not always to lead to our thinking ability deteriorate.
First of all, technology indeed benefit people: it not only useful to improve people’s life and living level, but also alleviate people’s thinking burden. Electron calculator helps people to complex calculation, and with it, people can enter the advanced mathematics and related fields. Because of the strong function in computer, it is applied to nearly all fields, and becomes the significant tool to solve difficult problems. What is more, technology broadens people’s research scope, and expands people’s intellection and perception.
Second, we have to acknowledging the fact that excessively relying on technology may lead to indolence, which may undermine our thinking ability for ourselves. For example, with an excessive way to use the calculator in very simple calculation, our basic calculation ability can be harmed. The convenient technology causes that people languish to consider, and they can be accustomed with seeking help only through technological methods. For instance, with rapid development of communication technological tools, such as iphone, twitter, the oral and write ability in communication is fallen. Besides, perhaps sometimes we cannot adopt technology in a reasonable method or we are too lazy to do some consideration, these can be lead to decrease our ability to think ourselves.
Third, in spite of this, although to some extent technology has negative effect to us, we cannot always believe that technology must decrease our thinking ability. Technology indeed impairs people’s thinking ability in a certain aspect, but this effect mainly concentrates on the repeatability fields. For instance, some machines help people to complete some work which is burdensome and tedious, and people have much time and energy to solve certain more advance and more complicate problems. Microscope broadens people’s horizon in micro world, and the scope of people’s thinking ability can be expanded. Radio telescope is useful to people observe in macro world where people can broaden the ability of thinking themselves. People have the ability to prove the fact that astrology is a pseudoscience. Such ability embodies people possess a great ability to think themselves. Although part thinking ability can be decreased, people can obtain greatly space to consider, and this is very worthy. Our consideration level will stay in the pristine without technology.
In spite the relationship between people’s thinking ability and technology is being discussed, from my perspective, more relying on technology not always lead our thinking ability to deteriorate. If we can utilize technology appropriate, the negative aspect also can be impaired greatly.
