首先说明楼主录取的是比较小众的宾大与巴政的联合项目，但是申请仍然是正常的申请道路～我申请的学校有Penn,Duke,Michi,UVA,Cornell,Chicago,NW，所以这回馈帖也主要是这几个学校，其他学校的申请人士可以过来补充

这一个帖子是我申请前几个月花很大的时间和精力从每个学校的官网、dean's letter、LSAC介绍页上统一整理起来的，关于每个学校对于文书(PS---有的学校是statement of purpose,CV,RL,是否需要Why X---如果学校说“你们如果对我学校有特殊喜爱，那是helpful的话，在我理解看来，如果有时间就写份why x吧) 的要求。因为申请中最最头疼的就是文书，而大家一定要注意好自己申请学校对于文书的格式、排版、页数、＊有的学校还会对内容有要求的建议。比如你准备好一份统一的CV，但是有的学校只能一页，那两页的显得自己没有好好做功课，态度不够认真了；而有的学校可以两页，所以这个时候你就可以抓住机会，多写一点。

如果再能够从学校对于文书的要求中管中窥豹，对症下药，就更好了～具体的就八仙过海，各显神通了。好了，我把自己整理的资料放上来了，欢迎各位补益凸^-^凸

[1] Penn
RL:  2-(2 ideal)
*ideally from law professors or others who have personal experience instructing and evaluating the candidate.
*An applicant may, alternatively, submit letters from academic instructors outside of the field of law, from employers, or from others with a personal knowledge of the candidate’s intellectual and other strengths.
*important evaluation
*Although we accept up to four letters of recommendation, your application will be considered complete and will be reviewed after we receive the first two letters. Please note that many successful applicants submit two letters of recommendation and additional letters of recommendation do not necessarily strengthen your application.

PS:  1-2 pages
*Address your reasons for pursuing a graduate degree at Penn Law
*Your essay may describe how Penn Law would complement earlier studies or prepare you for future professional work
*Your interest in a particular legal field and its application to existing issues in your country or the world; or more broadly how your study here would serve other goals or interests.
*We expect applicants to use professional and readable font and spacing.
*Applicants should not view the LLM Program as a path to the JD Program
*If there is an issue concerning your transcripts that you would like to address regarding your academic record, you may do so in an addendum to your personal statement.(background information)
*You may also address issues in your application as a brief addendum to your personal statement. For example, if you do not believe your TOEFL score is representative of your English language, you received a grade that you do not believe is representative of your academic abilities, or you wish to explain a gap in your work or academic career.

CV: 1-2 pages
*highlight your relevant educational and professional background, skills (e.g. language facility), and interests.

[2] NW

RL:  1-
（from a member of the applicant's law faculty or from a previous or current employer.）
*letters of recommendation should be from persons who know you well, are able to evaluate your capacity for advanced legal studies and professional success, and can comment with specificity on your intellectual accomplishments and professional promise.
*It is helpful if the letters also address how you compare to others in your law school or professional cohort.

PS:  西北大学的ps不同于其他学校，它是要求回答问题的。问题网上很容易找到，大家可以查查～
      *In place of a traditional personal statement, you will be asked to answer two essay questions which can be found within the application under the heading "Essay Questions." Please follow the directions and answer each question separately in a one to two-page double-spaced essay.

CV:       ＊Applicants to the LLM program are required to submit a one to two-page curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé written in English.

RL:       2-4

PS: 1-3 pages
*academic interest that you wishes to pursue
and your career plan following completion of your program

CV: *Name, Address, Email,Phone
*academic honors(as fully as necessary the significance of any honors or distinctions so that Committee can compare)
*scholarly publication
*employment in law or related fields ( including employer, title,dates of employment, description of duties)
*membership of honorary, professional or other societies

RL: 2-
*The letters should explain the relationship of the writer to the applicant. At least one letter should be from a faculty member well acquainted with the applicant's academic ability.
* Such letters should not be from relatives or close family friends.

PS: 2-5 pages
*use attachment
*professional and educational experience
*special area of interest
*previous overseas experience
*special reason for applying Duke such as family members or significant others with admission to a nearby school or who is also applying to the LLM program
*it helps if indicates the reason for interest in an LLM degree in general and Duke Law school in particular

[5] MICHI
RL:2-
(can in the recommender' s native language with a certified English translation)
*At least one recommendation must be from a member of your law faculty. (If you have been or are enrolled at a US institution, a letter of recommendation from that faculty is also required.)
*If your goals include an academic career, the recommendation(s) should specifically address your prospects for an academic career.
*It is most helpful if such a letter is from the dean of the law faculty where you have studied, are working, or hope to work in the future

PS&CV: *statement of purpose should be included as supplement for CV, holds the same importance as PS

[6]CORNELL
RL: 2-
* Familiarity is important, only under unobtainable situation can people
those familiar with your professional performance are acceptable
*Two letters of recommendation must be submitted from faculty members acquainted with your work in the major area of study.

PS: *A detailed (approximately 750 words) personal statement of interest is an essential part of the application.
*The statement should include a discussion of your purpose in obtaining the degree, as well as an explanation of your research and study interests and their relation to your previous education and professional goals.
*Please include your full name on the top of each page of the statement of interest.康奈尔对于PS的页面格式是有特殊要求的！

[7]UVA
RL: 2-
*The Law School requires at least two, but no more than four,letters from people in a position to evaluate applicant’s academic and professional talent.
*Letters from family members, friends or people who are not well acquainted with the applicant are not helpful and should not be submitted.
* For students in school, at least two letters should be from teachers.
*If a recommender is unable to write the letter of recommendation on letterhead, please ask him/her to explain why.

PS:*Applicants should take particular care in outlining and discussing their reasons for wanting to pursue graduate work, including a statement of future professional plans. Applicants should also describe their principal areas of academic interest, with as much specificity as possible.
