求问下Purdue 计算金融怎么样？

RT，高估自己，目前只有这一个保底的AD。

Purdue的地理位置不是太好，估计找工作也挺不容易。

QuantNet排名都看不到普渡的影子。求问下有了解的同学介绍下这个项目。

be frank.......i doubt if that exist or not.........

given her Location, chances to stay US is not that good.
and outside US, her reputation is not that much in financial industry.....

a bit too harsh for sure, but I dont think it worth the $$.
the key point is indeed......what alternatives you have.....e.g. application outside US.

的确不太乐观，我目前也没有其他结果了。我考虑下是否去读。看这个帖子https://bbs.gter.net/thread-1823051-1-1.html，这个项目一般只招四五个国际学生，如果这样，我有信心拿top名次。

拿top名次申phd極有用，找工作的幫助很有限……

non target + 2 hr from chicago, 只是interview都夠你受
再講印象中predue近年走下坡中……

國際生visa的問題相對其他專業還是細的，at the end it is STEM
問題是找工作和networking實在太難了。
如果是local都尚可以畢業後去大城市住三五個月慢慢找，但國際生很難有決心和本錢這樣耗得起。

恩，多谢chan哥教诲。话说我在IT界的工作经验。会对找quant的工作有帮助不？

实在不济就用当前的工作模式曲线救国。在我们厂，保安也有当码农的。

previous experience絕對有用
it iskill is especially useful if u go for quant developer…(i.e. programmer in financial industry)

but old problem is still……location…君若見cornell也將第三學期放ny便知了

cornell把我拒了，我也没辙。都26了。再拖下去，我估计一辈子就是个data analyst了

if US is not a must, consider trying some program in APAC, e.g. HK / SG..........
academically may not be as strong as top US, but location matters.
or you may also consider things like Fordham..........but that's definitly a gamble for sure.
