Q: 在申请材料中,老美要求银行提供的经济证明,这一项应该怎么填呢？是往多了填，还是
往少了填？(比如我能有30万的资金，我应该填多少)有人说往少了填，比如填0，或根本就
不出示证明（因为如果美国认为你有足够的资金，就不给你奖了）。
A: 总是有人这么误解，以为美国人认为你有足够的资金，就不给奖。其实不是这么一回
事，美国的奖学金分Merit-based和need-based两种，need-based是如果有钱就不给，但问
题在于这种奖学金只给米国的公民或者永久居民(即持有绿卡者)，我们再没钱也无法申请，
而assistantship和merit-based奖学金与你有没有钱无关，即使再有足够的钱也可以申
请。

如果你能开出来证明的话，填写你有足够你全部学习期间费用的金额。具体写多长时间的看
学校，多数学校只要求证明头一年就行。如果你开不出来的话，那么只好写0了，但这样的
话，学校如果本来可以给你半奖，但看你没有钱，半奖不可能来，就干脆不录取你，连半奖
都没有了。

Q: 我必须全奖才出去,需要办财力证明吗?财力证明的表格如何处理?另外,应该填多少呢?如
果半奖也可以出去的话,财力证明应该填多少?我父母的银行存款证明可以吗?谢谢了
A: 建议你开一些出来

一般来说，不必全奖你就可以在美国活下去，去除tuition, fee, 以及每年300元的书费
(300美元不够买教材的，但是我们可以复印课本)外，若你的奖学金还能剩下6000元，就应
该够在美国的大多数地方过下去了(如果在纽约等房租贵的地方就差些了)，而且这种生活肯
定还是让你吃的不错。若剩一万元的话就可以不仅让你在食品上，而且让你在其他方面也过
的不错了。所以，全奖也不是特别必要，你也没必要全奖才出去。只不过全奖毕竟会让自己
容易得到签证，而且让自己过的更舒服，所以还要争取。

另外，即使半奖出去，到学校后再找个GA当当也很容易，所以不必为钱太担心，铁定心没有
全奖就不出去是不必的。

这样的话，你能开出多少证明就开多少吧。能开全部的最好，许多人认为开出有钱的证明学
校就会因此不给奖学金。其实不是这样，那些申请者有钱就不给的奖学金都是need-based，
不给国际学生。而我们有资格申请的merit-based奖学金以及Graduate Assistantship都与
你有没有钱毫无关系。我们班里有美国学生就得到了GA和scholarship，结果由于他不缺
钱，把GA辞了，只留下不需要工作的scholarship。

所以，我们开多少证明都不会影响奖学金的获得。事实上我和我的许多同学，朋友都是说自
己有钱支付全部的费用，依旧得到了奖学金。而且，如果学校有可能给半奖的话，而你没有
证明，学校会认为你没钱，无法来，就干脆连半奖也不给了。这样可就不合算了，因为我前
边说过，即使半奖在这里也不难活下去。且不说到外边找工作收入很不错，即使校内工作，
虽然钱少些，但也够了，而且校内比较体面，想来大多数中国学生都不会因此觉得没有面
子。

开父母的存款证明就可以，最有用的就是自己的钱或者父母的钱。开人民币可。在中行等银
行的存款证明上，会给你折算出相当于多少美金的。

Q: 如何办理财力证明？
A: 到你存款所在的银行办理。如果是大一点的银行，他们知道如何办。上边的金额也会自
动给你折算成美金。

Q: 银行20元开一份,我其它的复印可以吗?
A: 可以复印一些，等学校要原件再说，不排除有些学校就不要原件了。

Q: 存折是父母的名字,要有与我的关系证明吗,不然凭什么说他们能给我提供学费?
A: 不必有证明，有他们写的statement说明与你的关系及愿意给你钱就行了。

Q: 一定要有财产证明吗？
A: 许多的学校要，如果没说的话，填那个资金表就行了，不必给证明。

Q: 我正在填表 在财政资助一栏让我填：你从XXX大学得到（ ）钱 可我不知如何填？是我
估计一个数。还是由学校填？
A: 如果你自己提供不出资金证明，那么把所有的钱都堆在这里。
如果自己有足够的钱，先填写0。
不论怎么填写，这个都不影响你将来的奖学金获得。

Q: 关于 Statement of financial responsibility 需“have it notarized",我可不可以
就用银行存款证明代替？Notary's Signature 怎么办？
A: 附一个银行存款证明就行。Statement上边可以空着。

Q: 开资金证明必须用美刀吗？
A: 不必，用人民币就可以。

Q: 申请时，我父亲给我开4000多英镑（将近7000美圆）的资金证明。请问，开英镑可以
吗？会不会有什么影响？
A: 可以开英镑，开人民币也可以。

Q: 关于在申请材料上的资金证明，可否由国外的亲戚（我的叔叔）提供经济担保？如果由
国外的亲戚提供担保，会不会在最后签证的时候对自己不利（因为听说由国外亲戚做担保，
在常见的担保形式中是对签证最不利的）？此时（申请学校时）的经济担保人是否必须与签
证时给签证官出示的相同呢？
A: 一般来说，有父母和自己最好。如果不是没有别的办法，最好不要由其他亲属担保。但
也不是绝对，比如我是我在国外的姐姐担保的，我签证时也没有遇到麻烦。

申请学校时的担保人不一定要与签证时相同。但是有的学校比较讨厌，会在I-20上把是谁担
保都写的一清二楚，这样如果签证官见两者不同，会怀疑你是否真有这么多钱。这样的学校
虽然不多，但的确有。所以，能相同最好相同。

Q: 另外如果由国内的家里担保，是否必须付上银行的证明？如果我用我父亲作担保？应出
示怎样的证明？
A: 要银行证明。比如去中行开就很好。

Q: 我知道应该先到银行开个证明，然后去做公证。（是这样吗？），应该开几样公证？我
和我父亲的关系的公证，还有别的吗？
A: 不需要存款公证，不需要和你父亲的关系公证。有你父亲写的一个statement说明是你的
父亲，并愿意给你提供学费就足够了。

Q: 那又怎样证实所出示存款的真实性呢？这个需要公证吗？
A: 银行本身的信誉就是真实性的体现，不再需要任何公证。

Q: 财政证明表中有四项：Person Funds, Family Funds (inside US), Family Funds
(outside US), Scholarship or Sponsor.这四项加起来要等于或大于一年还是两年的总费
用？
A: 学校一般会说需要证明一年的还是全部的。一般是证明一年的为多。

Q: 偶家里有5000美圆，这笔钱是放在家庭的名下好还是放在偶的名下 好？
A: 到底是谁挣的钱？谁挣的写谁，因为你需要考虑到签证。举例说，这钱是你父母的，但
你说是自己的，于是学校在I-20上写上是你自己的钱。等签证时VO让你提交你的收入证明，
结果证明你不能挣出这么多，会引起怀疑。当然你可以说是父母给的，但我觉得还是少费点
唇舌为好。

Q: Schlarship or Sponsor 是不是偶要求学校给的奖学金数目？
A: 前者是学校给的，后者是指你所在的公司或其他机构给的资助或者来自国家的资助(对于
我们来说当然是中国政府啦)给的。

Q: 我怎么知道他们会给我多少？这四项到底怎么填？
A: 不必知道给多少，比如你只有5000，学校要10000，你这项就填写5000，说明学校至少需
要给你5000，否则你不去这个学校。

Q: 关于财力证明，能不能把别人的存款证明换成我的名字出示？
A: 首先，银行不一定同意将证明上的名字换成你的名字。即使成功了，如果学校将来在I-
20上写是你自己提供资金，你能否提供证明给签证官？如果你都能办到，那么可以。

Q: 财力证明我觉得还是开的好.可是银行一般只开三份,而且钱的冻结时间与证明的有效期
是一致的,我的问题:
Q: 1.财力证明需要多长有效期?
A: 有效期不重要，是近期开的就行。
Q: 复印件是否学校接受?
A: 复印件上需要银行的章证明与原件相符

Q: 我想在财力证明上填上一些资金，但没有银行证明。因为是这样我虽没有存款，但有房
子一处至少也能有五千美元吧。出国后也确实想卖掉。这该怎么办呢？
Sader好像提过，这样抵押现在很容易被看成有移民倾向这很致命。

A: 如果你是对付学校，那么没有问题，学校不考虑你的移民倾向，对于许多学校尤其是商
学院来说，巴不得你留在美国拿高薪，这样他们的毕业生的平均年薪会高，从而推动学校在
USNEW, BUSINESSWEEK等排行榜上的排名，下一年好吸引更多的学生。

移民倾向是你签证时要考虑的，若你打算卖房子，的确象是不回来了，那么签证官很可能给
你个214B让你打道回府。

Q: 在financial support form中所填的钱是否会出现在I-20上？
A: 如果你全奖，就不会出现在I-20上。如果不是，就会出现。
