Graduate Research Assistant

Area: Environmental Engineering

One full assistantship is available for graduate student (Ms/PhD) in the area of environmental engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). The research area lies in environmental energy technologies and reduction of adverse energy-related environmental impacts. Current interests are focused on renewable energy production using microbial fuel cells and sensors and materials development for environmental sustainability and safety. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental or chemical engineering (or equivalent), be self-motivated and has good hands-on skills.
