其他：一个上交所水实习，一个华泰证券小实习

打算混申金融经济统计的，经济是对口专业应该会申多些，恳请帮忙定位！！因为学术科研方面背景实在太弱有点慌

B. who cares your research experience? you are not going for a research master or PhD anyway.

1. preferred location?
2. career plan: location and industry? also targeted type of roles / divisions?
3. budget?

A：因为一直觉得G最好还是刷到325以上，AW到4比较有竞争力加上T的话实在刷不动了，口语一直没能突破22这个瓶颈。。。
B：这样的话就太好了！科研成果也是跑寄托久了看大多数伙伴都多少有一些，以为是比较重要的背景

1、对于地理上没有太大要求，只希望靠近大城市圈，方便找实习就好~
2、一直打算进金融领域的，譬如投行、四大，在证券公司投行部实习过感觉还是蛮喜欢他们的工作的
3、因为家里从我读高中就想把我送出去了。。。所以只要能读上书就行= =预算应该不是问题吧

大部分是有差异的，需要上具体项目的官网查看。我认为你可以现在一边申请一边刷分，GRE分数也可以了，如果刷得更高到时候再更新就是了。

1. well.......who really cares about your GRE Verbal? IELTS/TOFEL are way more efficient in showing one's language skills than GRE V......
GRE AWA is useful......but I guess not as important as TOFEL as it will not only shows your ability in speaking but also writing, which AWA won't do both.

2. Quite a number of people here are aiming for research master or PhD. In that case, research experience is very important. But this is not the case for those who want a master for professional purpose, unless you want a really technical one (e.g. financial engineering, econometrics...)

3. well, indeed what I wanna ask is the preferred location of working after the master. Back China? stay there (and where)?

4. for a general in the industry you named, I don't see the point that you must necessarily need a master in econ (or finance/ statistics); the name of the school is way more important. But for sure, location is important.
Indeed, I guess the question following is: what kind of role / division you prefer in these industry? Indeed the selection of the major of your master should depends on that the most.
For example, if you want to go for some quantitative role, you should forget about a MSF but go for MFE or MS Stat at least. If you are more on the financial modeling side like equity research, a master in acct & fina may be a bit more useful. Of course you may consider a MSF too since it covers many aspect in finance but I/ for US, no top school except MIT offer a professional MSF, but a few of them have applied econ or management master instead; II/ MSF are seldom in-depth for one certain sub-section in finance unless they have enough flexibility and the student are smart enough to select so in advance.

嗯嗯~我就是金融经济混申的！不过金融的项目真的是够少的。。。所以也想提前做好去读经济的心理准备= =

1、看来我之前对GT的认知太粗糙了！！以前一直认为G刷的越高越好。。。好早之前报的名还是得去考一下QAQ不过这样压力也没那么大了~~~~
2、我其实有考虑过计量经济。。。！因为学得还蛮开心的！不过一直以为它算是经济下比较偏应用的了，看来还是了解太少啊：（
3、我初步的想法是留下来工作几年再考虑回国的，找不到工作的话可能会再读一个硕士学位或者直接回国了~
4、职业方面我感觉自己不太适合quantitative的工作T T 实习公司的前辈比较建议我去读公司金融和会计方面的项目，我自己更偏向公司金融吧。我打算金融和经济混申的，如果最后只能去读经济了，可能会考虑继续读phd，或者有可能的话，读完econs再读一个金融或会计方面的硕（我挺享受做学生的过程= =），或者就考个ACCA之类的证书找工作了。望大神指点！！！

3. 計量很一部份的確是偏應用，所以才實際有用而非如theory course 般只對phd preparation有用

4. well......for a corp fina position, yes, you need a bit financial modeling skills (i.e. a bit account and finance background), but this is surly not the most important factor as they are easy to learn but just only take time to be familiar with it (i.e. a good fina modeling skill depends mainly on job experience instead of academics course). What's most important for it is (put aside network from dad & mom, which is indeed the most important point) the name of the school. Whatever major doesn't matter much indeed.
