Band Of Brothers --- Two thumbs up!

If anyone like war productions, this is the one. I was so overwhelmed after watching the series three times, indeed a bit panickied by the authentic nature of history and the pain caused by the WWII.

(BOB) Band of brothers is a chronicle of the so-called "best generation" when, to quote a popular phrase, uncommon valor was a common virtue. It's a great story made greater by an adherence to historical accuracy and it's also damn a fine piece of film-making.

It should be required viewing for the generation of people who have no idea what kind of sacrifices were made for liberty. I really do get a sense of how significant those times were to the world. I was laughing and crying right along with the characters, as well as the real-life "heroes" whose commentary opens each segment.

Now, I'm really ashamed of what I v complained and groaned about life being tough for me, just look how hard it was back then!  :mad:

I dare say that this series is worth its every penny, you will have some idea of the hell these tough guys went through to rid the world of a great evil. Especially the episode "Why We Fight". It explains it all.

Twice to be exact, since I skipped some of the episodes when going through the third time.

BTW, "three times" is never too much for a fine movie, I watched "BraveHeart" more than ten times, The Legend Of the Fall 10 times around, A River Runs Through It as many times as you could imagine... as far as it goes, and so do the other good movies... :p

Remember, I'm totally a movie bug! :D

it is a good one, my tears droped, when they found that concertation campus...especially when that old fellow kiss the soldier, and that moment they were being told they have go back to the campus...that's a feeling that humanity to be teared apart.

Bravo!! One of my favorite episodes was part five, particularly the subway scene and the scene where the men are getting ready for the final advance and see the enormous line of soldiers falling back, having been ambushed and their numbers decimated. Major Winters reluctantly accepts a weekend pass to spend some time in Paris, and while on a subway train he looks around at the other passengers and each face brings him a flashback from the battlefield, one of which being the soldier that he runs into after coming over a hill and, while the man signals his helplessness, shoots dead with one shot (okay, three shots, for effect).

It is a great movie indeed. Yet for me, I found it a little too serious. Only my personal viewpoint.

It is absolutely a great TV series.
It fiils me with admiration for the brave, intelligence,friendship
they demonstrated at the edge of death.
It also intrigue me to think about my life
