1：背景:国内基础医学细胞胚胎学硕士，硕士是重点大学，本科一般普通院校，硕士毕业在一医院实验室工作三年后辞职；
2：雅思： 雅思目前6.5，（但听力只有5.5）；想走留学移民的路子；
3：GPA: 3.2
4：计划，留学移民加拿大

If you want to apply for post-graduate degree programs, apply for majors like bio-xxxx. For all the schools that have the openings, it's better to contact supervisor directly for the admission. Typically you will get fellowship being a research-based student. Otherwise, you need to pay for the tuition and living cost yourself.

As for now, it's becoming more and more difficult to immigrate to Canada without finding a job. So you need to find a job first after graduation to increase your chance to be approved for immigration.

It is really tough to get a job related to bio-xxxx. I heard one opening for bio in toronto received 500+ applicants, most of which possess an advanced degree or even post-doc experience. If you are really good and get the job, salary ranges from 40K - 50K, which is relatively low for people having an advanced degree. However, if you can get fellowship, it is OK because you didn't pay for the education.

Another walk-around is to go to professional program that trains technicians like ultrasound technician or Dental Hygienist. It is typically easier to find a job. But you may encounter problems when you are applying for study permit.

我觉得首先确定你以后是想留加拿大还是回国。目的不同，申请范围也不一样。只为了移民，一年或两年的研究生项目都可以考虑，以你的背景生物相关专业都是能申请的。考虑回国的话那你可以考虑PHD项目，医博类院校，像曼大，mcmaster都有相关项目

There is no need to reply like a letter and you can write Chinese if it's more comfortable for you. I type English only when I cannot type Chinese

Here are a list of MPH or related degree programs for public health in Canada

Nobody can guarantee you getting the visa, no matter what program you are going to. The difference is the odds of different programs. If you go for a master's degree, it makes more sense to a visa officer than going for a professional training program(PTP) such as a dental hygenist. This is because most of the times, PTP can be pursued immediately after high school. It does not sound very reasonable to pursue a training program for a person that has master's degree. You need to convince the visa officer you are coming only for study and will leave Canada after the program.

感谢大家，我在国内是从事试管婴儿的 ，感觉转MPH,有点浪费自己的专业方向，在几个大学search program,发现这方面的专业比较少，也都是偏研究的 ，在indeed上查了查，貌似也很少找到此类工作。有点迷茫，是坚持自己的职业方向，还是转专业。想听听大家的建议。谢谢。
