Kill Bill Vol.2 is so boring

I downloaded Kill Bill Vol.2 last night.

I thought it would be great according to the reviews, but it put my eyes together in less than 30 minutes.  :(

cannot agree with u on this point.
I think vol.2 is just as great as vol.1.

Q.T's films should be read with heart and emotion, I think.
for vol.1 the spirit of the bride grants me a lot of power, as the japanese sword master said, if u want to accomplish ur goal, even god cannot stop u. some times life is just the same as the obstacles that the bride encountered. at this moment, we need her strength. and Q.T perfectly illustrated the strength in a somewhat extreme manner. the last song of the original track of vol.1-- the lonely shepherd, shakes my heart again and again nomatter how many times I listened to it. I gotta say that's what inside his film.

in vol.2, the details and the untold things in vol.1 was explainded.  from the diffrence that Bill trates the bride before her marrige, we can discover what love really is. as u may see after u go through the film, at last Bill died for her. and the bride's rival, the woman with only one eye left( I can't recall her name). deserve her death. the scene which the bride broke out the shell from underground with her bare hand is also encouraging. More, the different ways that the two woman treated the kongfu master tell us what is the righteous path to success...

so, some times, master pieces should be read with heart, in this situation, film is not for entertainment. once, my roomate was so curious that I watched the fightclub for so many times that at last borrowed the dvd from me to see what it really is, but 10mins after he returned it to me with disappointment and some words of" boring".  :rolleyes: , what could I say? I just smiled.

I enjoyed Volume 1 and had high expectations for Vol 2.

But after watching Volume 2, I am unbelievably disappointed. Nothing new or interesting was revealed, the story was a total letdown.

We actually can already guess exactly what happens in Vol 2 by watching Vol 1. So apart from dragging it out a little more there is hardly any purpose for Vol 2, a simple sentence of what happened would easily conclude the story, it didn't need another 2 hours or more of rambling which had no real drama or action worthy of keeping our attention.

When The Bride finally meets Bill there's a surprise for her: her kid (of which Bill is the father) wasn't killed at the massacre but has now turned into a 4 year old girl. The 'end fight' of The Bride and Bill should've been the highlight of this saga, but turns out to be so dull it's beyond belief.

I was in agony after about the first 10 minutes. It was so boring and slow. Even the remake of the Zombies "she's not there" was not as good as I imagined.

I have to admit that vol.2 does take us more time than the story should. as we have different angles when viewing this film, for me, I think it is necessary to make people understand what the story is about fully and thus a better understanding of the spirit behind could be discoverd. what is more important, if the two volumes are of the same style, which means vol.2 should be as bloody as vol.1( I think many people enjoyed the bloody scenes more rather than the film itself.), the necessity for vol.2 to exist is impaired.

as u may think, vol.2 seems far less exiting and the line of the story is not as winding as vol.1, but we have to ask ourself before watching and criticising on these master pieces--are we doing this for fun, entertainment or mental communication and inspiration with the directors and producers. Q.T's film is not the typical Hollywood film just created to ease u. sometimes watching these films will contrarily make u tried. this is an important premise, I think.

the first 10mins is dull indeed, but I went through it with ease and inspiration.hehe. :p

as for fight club, yes, it is brad pitt's, however, I would like to say it is BRAD PITT AND EDWARD NORTON'S, they are both great in this brain-washing flim, or I think to be my compass toward my wicked life. :rolleyes:

QT is a great writer, director, and producer. I love his style and his other films including Kill Bill Vol.1.

I don't want to spoil the fun for you, but yeah, the story finally unfolds but when the movie ended, I realized that it wasn't so satisfying for me, compared to the rich and dynamic vol. 1.

I was bored to tears at parts - where as the rest was a seneselessly bad vat of violence with no heart.

I'm afraid Q.T. has hit a new low...

Fight Club is an excellent movie that keeps you thinking about it for days....at least that's the effect it had on me. There are elements in the film that make you laugh, it can also make you confused, or make you gag with all the bloody fight scenes.

It is somewhat a comedy and action film with a touch of creepy. From the one-line quotables to the philosophy, pure sublime. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton are so hot in there~ :p

The author even agreed that the film was an above and beyond adaptation of his novel. :) This movie is flawless. It's not about my favorite artist Brad Pitt, but because of the movie itself! :rolleyes:
