Multiple TA/RA Positions in Industrial and Systems Engineering at University at Buffalo, The State University of New York (纽约州立大学布法罗分校工业与系统工程系)

Multiple TA/RA positions are available for Ph.D. students starting from Fall 2017 in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at University at Buffalo (UB), The State University of New York. UB is located in the City of Buffalo, the 2nd largest city in New York State. UB ISE is ranked top 20 in public IE programs in United States by US News and World Report. Recent UB ISE PhD graduates have secured their jobs as professors in universities such as University of Michigan, Texas A&M University, University of Iowa and The Pennsylvania State University, and big industrial firms such as Amazon, American Airlines, General Motors, McKinsey, Citibank and IBM. UB ISE has total 70 existing Ph.D. students, who are mainly working in three majors: Human Factors, Operations Research and Production Systems.

The research strengths of UB ISE cover four major application areas, including
• Security and Defense
• Health and Medical Systems
• Transportation and Logistics
• Advanced Manufacturing and Sustainable Manufacturing Design.

Qualified applicants should have a B.S./M.S. in engineering or other related fields, and strong motivation toward high quality research in Human Factors, Operations Research and Production Systems.
