Research Assistant, International Trade

*Salary from ￡28,241 to ￡32,689 pa inclusive *

*This is a full time fixed term appointment for 2 years *

**

The job involves providing research assistance on a project focusing on
the impact of trade policy on firms and workers, using survey data and
administrative data from government agencies. Knowledge of trade
statistics and experience in using business surveys and labour market
data would be valuable. You will also be expected to work with mapping
software and potentially conduct on-site visits for data collection.
Opportunities for authoring and co-authoring of papers for publication
will be made available to appropriately experienced postholders.

You will have a first or upper second class undergraduate degree in
Economics or other quantitative social science discipline; and a Masters
in Economics or other quantitative social science discipline passed at a
level allowing acceptance on PhD.

You must have advanced quantitative and analytical skills and experience
in dealing with large datasets, as well as advanced experience in using
STATA and other econometrics software and must demonstrate knowledge and
interest in the areas of work.
