ECEE@ASU PhD Positions in Wireless/Mobile/Security

Prof. Yanchao Zhang (http://cnsg.asu.edu/zhang) in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University is recruiting multiple PhD students, starting in Fall 2017. His research group is conducting fundamental and experimental research on security and privacy issues in computer and networked systems, with current focus areas in emerging wireless networks, mobile crowdsourcing, Internet-of-Things, social networking and computing, wireless/mobile systems for disabled people, mobile/wearable devices, cloud computing, big data analytics, and wireless/mobile health.

An ideal candidate is expected to have:

- An earned master degree in EE, CS or a relevant area before Fall 2017
- Strong mathematical skills, including probability analysis
- Solid background in wireless communications and networking
- Previous research experience in wireless and mobile is a plus
- Background and research experience in security or cryptography is a big plus

ASU is in the Phoenix metropolitan area, one of the fastest growing areas in US with a large and ever-growing Chinese population. The School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering (ECEE) is the largest unit in ASU and has over 70 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. ECEE is ranked the 8th in receiving research grants from Natioanl Science Foundation, and its graduate program was ranked 27th by US News in 2017.
