Three Ph.D. positions with assistantship are available in Professor Kun Cheng’s laboratory in the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). The Kansas City metropolitan area is a 15-county metropolitan area with 2.3 million people.

Dr. Cheng’s research focuses on the development of novel drug delivery systems for small-molecule and macromolecular drugs; BBB drug delivery; immunotherapy; peptide-modified prodrugs; targeted delivery of siRNA for the treatment of various cancers and liver diseases. His research has been continuously supported by the Department of Defense (DoD), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and American Cancer Society (ACS). These positions are available for Spring 2018 and Fall 2018. We encourage highly motivated candidates in medicinal chemistry, polymer chemistry, drug delivery, and molecular biology to apply. Candidates with strong research experience are preferred.
