What motivates our society constantly moving forward？From my perspective，it might be the endless imagination of humanity.Think about how became we from a wild untouched world to a modern civilized society，all the surroundings around you are mostly come from a very creative ideas，obviously it is all kinds of ideas that have led us to a whole new world.Despite this，knowledge，as an outcome of exploration and discovering after idea emerged，are also indispensable for our daily life because it directly benefits our life a lot.Thus，I personally insist that both imagination and knowledge are equally important and take a step even further，they are actually two distinct phases in a process.

It is only needed to consider that how the common sense has eventually became a world wide known theory of universal gravitation merely originated by a tiny imagination of Isaac Newton，why a ripe apple fell down rather than going up.As we all know，Newton is not as smart as his classmates at all due to he has even made enormous lost in the stock market，so a question spontaneously emerged why it was not his classmates noticed the phenomenon but Newton.Obviously，the only difference between Newton and his classmates who were living and learning in the same environment was that those classmates were somewhat lacking of imagination even though they might have same knowledge and sometimes even more than Newton.

Take a further step into consideration，think about how the world would have been a plodding and tedious place if it were not those all kinds of imaginations existed,especially in the field of architecture .How ridiculous the world would be if all the buildings all over the world of every corner were same structure or even same look.This is really easy to figure out that it were those very talented with endless and creative imaginations who have unprecedented made our society being a various place and produced abundant productions located all the corner in the world where is possible for human beings to enjoy and appreciate.

However,imagination alone is usually meaningless without any further research and exploration There is no doubt that we should study how it worked and how can we transform the imagination to knowledge to be directly utilized to get a better world.Only if we have acquired the knowledge，would humanity be better able to systematically make our life more prosperous and efficient.Like the case above，if it were not Newton’s continuing research and trials in which ultimately an idea has evolved to a theory，til now humanity might not have known how it works，how the principle is，moreover we might not have the ability to launch a rocket or space shuttle into space which is based on this theory.From this point，imagination and knowledge are obviously different phases，we typically get imagination first then would we have the opportunity to make further step to summarize these ideas to be knowledge.In another word，imagination is actually a portal allowing humanity to make further actions and knowledge are the fruitful product by further research which can be directly utilized by humanity making the world they are living in better.

In conclusion，we as a society would not get any advancement without either imagination or knowledge.To be simple，imagination guide us moving forward，and knowledge make it possible for humanity to be able to utilize to change the world we are living in more efficiently and systematically.
