A fully funded PhD position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering within College of Engineering at Wayne State University is available to start in Fall 2019 or Winter 2020. The potential candidate has the opportunity to work on a project to quantify the impacts of anthropogenic emissions (e.g., air pollutions) on air quality and human health, employing state-of-the-art global chemical transport models. Applicants with background in environmental engineering/science, atmospheric science, chemistry, geology, computer science, mathematics, or other related fields are welcome to apply. Previous programming skills using Fortran, matlab, python, and/or IDL are preferred but not required. The PhD candidate will work directly with Assistant Professor Yaoxian Huang.
