"In the age of television, reading books is not as important as it once was. People can learn as much by watching television as they can by reading books."
“在电视时代，阅读书籍不再像过去那么重要了。人们通过看电视，可以学到与看书同样多的东西。”

提纲:
不同意:尽管电视有不少优势,但是就learning来说不能代替读书.

1.电视节目的优势:有声动形象的画面,可以帮助人们理解.
2. 然而电视不能完全代替书本:
  a.书本可以促使读者积极的想象和思考,而电视却使观众懒得去想象和预测.这样不同的态度对于学知识会有不同的结果.
   b.人们不能通过看电视对某一领域进行深入系统的学习.因为电视节目毕竟是商业化的,他们的制作人必须制作大众喜欢看的节目.而有研究标明,人们更愿意看知识含量少的节目.因此电视节目很多都没有什么学习价值.
综上所述,电视难以代替书本.

Television seems to have been an indispensable part of our life since it had been invented. It provides pleasure and entertainment to us. And also, it teaches us much. Therefore, some people assert that since people can learn as much by watching television as they can by reading books, reading books is not important any longer. However, I cannot agree with it. Personally, I would maintain that although television has some advantages which books do not have, watching television can never take the place of reading books when it comes to learning.

Admittedly, television can provide a vividly moving picture to help people understand what it is showing. On the other hand, books can not give people a vivid description as television do, although books sometimes have still pictures. For example, when people watch the television program----the world of animals, a program concerned with animals, people would say, how fast the leopard runs. Eventually, people get a clear picture about that prompt kind of animal by watching TV. At this aspect, reading books can merely give a sketchy understanding.

However, television is not always better than books to regard with learning. First of all, television can not stimulate mind as books can. When one is reading books, he or she has to imagine and comprehend the written word. As a result, imagination and comprehension of books exercises the mind and make person have an active attitude. Only with an active learning attitude, can people absorb much knowledge from the book which he or she is reading. On the other hand, the vivid moving pictures make people lazy to think and to predict what will happen next. Obviously, different attitudes result in different effects. People can learn much by reading books.

  Moreover, people can not acquire the knowledge of a certain field profoundly and systemically through watching television. After all, television is not libraries, at the same time, television programs are also not various books. To some extent what television can do is limited. It is primarily because television networks thrive on the advertising dollars. Therefore, the editor and director of television programs have to make programs seductive and attractive. As a result most programs become “mindless” entertainment and lack of educative value. Because according to a survey, most people prefer to watch some call “mindless” entertainment rather than a television program that actually teaches them something.

In conclusion, although television can help people to learn some general acknowledge, it cannot take the place of books in the aspect of learning. People can learn much profoundly and extensively through reading books. Therefore, to some extent, reading books never lose its value on learning.

我认为这个题目可以这样入手
在学习知识的趣味性和生动性上，tv优于book
在量上，book优于tv，然后再加上你那些理由

内容上还是用你的内容，但是这样更条理化

补充一点，书更广泛，穷的地方可能可以更多用到书。
