-----------------------------------
[34]iInstead of requiring students to take courses in a variety of disciplines-that is, courses ranging from the arts and the humanities to the physical and biological sciences-colleges and universities should allow students to enroll only in those courses that will help prepare them for jobs in their chosen fields. Such concentration is necessary in today’s increasingly work-oriented society.

It is easy to see that our society has been developed quicker every minute and the pace of people’s working and living footstep has also became the fastest ever. One consequence corresponding is a concentration that colleges and universities should allow students to enroll only in those courses that will help prepare them for jobs in their chosen fields. What I want to claim, from three major aspects, is that such concentration is not necessary.

On one hand, the purpose of an four-year learning in college contents not only for a better job, but also many other objects such as getting known of the society, the people, the history, and all fields that students are interested in. All of these benefit students in their future during working years even the whole life. In the first place, this knowledge can broaden their views and enlarge the space in spirit, thus give them a higher level of judgment. Take studying history for instance. Although history makes little effort in people’s daily life during working, entertaining, or sleeping, so essential will it become when people face such question as “How to improve our food supplement” when the population has grown too fast to balance with the supplement of food. People then have to do research on the history of the relationship between food and human beings, carry out history figures and accessible plans. In the second place, this knowledge is so important for people that, when talking or having conversations with others, how broad and how deep the knowledge of some specific field you have can convince others that you are a person who has the quality of knowledgeable, concentrating and eloquent, which will improve your relationships.

On the other hand, such concentration will lead to a situation that there are no relationships between different scientific subjects, thus bring disharmony or gaps among the college even society. Image one day, when students who pursue to be scientists no longer learning about arts, and the ones to be artists either, how can they both contribute to the society but not to have conflict with each other? Both of them get spirits not just from their own field; they probably will become self-concentrating, even no longer produce excellent works or conventions. Also, the gaps between different subjects such concentration brings will, to some extent, attribute to the less concern and interaction between people, because they will find that when communicating, even discussing, there is less common things they share and more difficult to understand.

Besides, a work-oriented society does not mean that people should eject their chances to entertain or study for their interests. Conversely, it is the interest that has been brought us so many scientists and experts, who are working for developing our world, it is interest not their jobs, that make some people well known. Taking courses in more fields in college has dramatic benefits to students because it serves them a flexible schedule to arrange their time for their interests. Here are many successful examples. Bill Gates, CEO of Microsoft, who pursues the future by choosing his interest not his major, has become the greatest giant in the Web World. Jordan, the genius in the basketball world, is famous for his talent of basketball but his major geography. Interest is the best teacher. Even parents or university should not give up the opportunity for the students to develop their own interest.

It is easy to see that our society has been developed quicker every minute(more quickly“飞速发展”?rapidly 个人观点) and the pace of people’s working and living footstep(footstep 有点多余吧) has also became the fastest ever.

All of these benefit students in their future during (“during”多余) working years even the whole life. People then have to do research on the history of the relationship between food and human beings, (and then会更好一点吧)carry out history figures and accessible plans. In the second place, this knowledge is so important for people that, when talking or having conversations with others, how broad and how deep the knowledge of some specific field (fields)you have can convince others that you are a person who has the quality of knowledgeable, concentrating and eloquent, which will improve your relationships.

On the other hand, such concentration will lead to a situation that there are no relationships between different scientific subjects, thus bring disharmony or gaps among the college even society. Image(Imaging) one day, when students who pursue to be scientists no longer learning about arts, and the ones to be artists either, how can they both contribute to the society but not to have conflict with each other? Both of them get spirits not just from their own field; they probably will become self-concentrating, even no longer produce excellent works or conventions. Also, the gaps between different subjects such concentration brings will, to some extent, attribute to the less concern and interaction between people, because they will find that when communicating, even discussing, there is less common things they share and more difficult to understand.

Besides, a work-oriented society does not mean that people should eject their chances to entertain or study for their interests. Conversely, it is the interest that has been brought us so many scientists and experts, who are working for developing our world, it is interest not their jobs, that make some people well known(这句没读懂). Jordan, the genius in the basketball world, is famous for his talent of basketball but his major (he majors in)geography. Interest is the best teacher. Even parents or university should not give up the opportunity for the students to develop their own interest.

总的来说写的挺好的,思路也比较清晰,但要注意小的语法错误

头像是在“寄托形象”里自己选的,看右上角。“退出”旁边!
还是单词量太小啊,总是不准确,着急也没用,慢慢背吧。
