3.HOW TO get an A on your Final exam? :”pencils down!”
“are u sure u don’t know who I am?” he inquired with even greater confidence. I started to get a little concerned. Was this the dean’s son? What had I forgotten myself into?
“No, I am sorry, I don’t” I said with a little hesitation in my voice.
“are u sure absolutely, 100 percent sure that u don’t know who I am?”
“for the last time, no, I don’t know who u are!”
“well then, good!” and he shoved his blue book into the middle of the stack and ran out of the door. -----------Tony D’ Angelo
3.In other words, I could no longer count on help from home. I lived in a furnished room in the Upper West Side, near her. I was self-supporting. And then, disaster struck. If I called in sick and didn’t work,I wouldn’t get paid! I WAS a part-time employee, with no benefits. The ups and downs of life have left me battered and bruised at times. And yet I learnt an important lessons from them.
Perhaps Anne Frank said it best: “Despite everything, I still believe in the goodness of man.”
4. what is sex? One day in the emergency waiting room, one lilttle girl turned to her mother and asked, “what is sex?” people turned their full attention to Mom. I mean, this was better than whatever was on the waiting-room television. I mean this was real life. U know, kids seem to know so much more than I did at their age; they are exposed to so much more these days on television and at the movies. How was mom going to answer? But she surprised me; she doesn’t think in the way I think or respond the way I usually respond. Instead, she pauses she then thoughtfully asks her daughter. “what do u mean, dear?”the little girl responds, “well, mom, I was looking at this paper, and it says sex—M/F. am I an M or F? Mom’s face breaks into a huge smile. The waiting room patrons resumes their usual chatter.
