我的师兄说还是不要去UFL，小布什的弟弟是那里的州长，那里很可能说不定就将中国学生的assistanship取消掉，还是考虑清楚为好。。。如果打台湾的话////

You were not eligible for fellowship due to a recent policy enforced
by the college of engineering that required the new GRE format. Otherwise,
I am sure you would have got a fellowship.

这怎么回事？？我去年6月考的GRE,怎么可能不是new GRE format??

The mobile networking and multimedia
communications lab at Univ. of Missouri-Columbia is
currently looking for Ph.D. students (for the Fall
Semester of 2005) to work on the following topics.

----Distributed multimedia streaming
Required Background: video compression standards,
streaming protocols (RTSP/RTP/UDP/IP),
and network simulation. Knowledge in wireless
communications and networking (e.g, wireless LAN) is a
plus.

----Resource Management in Wireless Sensor Network

应该不要去美国了,因为"小布什是美国总统很可能说不定就将中国学生的assistanship取消掉,如果打台湾的话"

我说的可是认真的，Florida 今年那个Bill 很可能会有这种现象出现哦。。。They just passed a bill that prohibits assistantship funds being given to international students from "sensetive countries". China is not on the list yet, but if it goes further, China will soon be included. I am not scaring you. You may want to search the news online for the details.

This year computer science only gave out a very small number of financial supports to new students. It is in the transition period, becoming part of school of informatics.
这是IU的老师说的，估计今年Indiana大家就不要指望它能吐出钱来了。。。看来我去那里也只能自费了。。。：（
