Some people may choose to calmness and critical thinking when confronted with troubles, while some people choose to be anxious and irascible. For instance, almost everyone who had watched the closure of the 2004 Special Olympic Games was deeply expressed by the perfect and amazing dance performed by 20 deaf-and-dumb girls from china. They could not speak, but they used their body languages to show their passion to life; they could not listen to the music, but their orderly and beautiful actions told the world that they were no weaker than normal people. Life is tough to them, but they did not choose to cry for the unfair fate but chose to raise their eyes toward an appealing future. Here lies the power of choice.

Not only in personal life can people make their choice, but also in almost every domain people decide what they should do. In political realm, a nation can choose to be a democratic state or a despotic country. In business operation, the numerous determining, continuously analyzing and frequently investing and so on are also a process of choosing. In an effort to resist the govern of British colonist, Indian people chose passive resistance leading by Mahatma Gandhi. Facing the great loss from the Indian Ocean tsunami, people all over world would like to make a donation to help the displaced persons to rebuild their destroyed country. It is the choice people made that forms the diversification of world.

Is there a situation that can be termed "absence of choice"? Sometimes people may feel it is hard to make their choice and they would say, “I have no choice but to do something.” This “but to do” is actually a choice finally made by individual in troubles. When the original desire of people could not be realized and people have to select an unenjoyable method, they are likely to say that they have no choice. In fact, the labeled "on choice" is virtually a circumstance that a choice of individual cannot be made freely but depends on that of the others. From this perspective, the absence of choice is a rare situation.

Hamlet, the prince of Denmark remarked, “my dear soul was mistress of my choice”. If the soul of people can be chosen, what we can wish for more? The absence of choice is but an illusion. If it does exist, it is a very, very rare situation.

1)一种情况是人们只从一个角度去思考问题，所以觉得没有选择，其实换个角度，选择就出来了
2)一种情况是没有选择只是人们的借口，其实只是那些选择他们不愿意做，因为不符合他们的利益或其它原因（我的理解虾米的2点和3点其实是一回事）
再比如外因，可能周围的人影响了这个人的选择，比如经常有人说“我没有选择，他们一定要我这样做”等等，其实还是有选择的
