issue85: “government funding of the arts threatens the integrity of the arts."

the speaker asserts that it will undermine the integrity of the arts rather than make it more perfect ifagovernment funds the arts. I agree with the speaker in that despite one or two benefits of government funding of the arts,the government does more harms to the integrity of the arts.
To begin with,whether a government should help fund the arts is a problem,In my opinion,although public health is generially viewed as critical to a society's very survival and therefore an approperate concern of a government,the concern should not extend too much in people's culture "health" and well-being.As there are many arts patrons and philanthropies who have their interests and will to fund the arts ,governments should leave the concern to them.Also,we  are not living in a world where there are inexhaustible resources.A government should put the precious money in the field from which it can benefit more.
Comparing with the politics,economy ,and science ,the arts is relatively more lofty and pure,which are the fundamental elements of its integrity ,I think.As a result ,equity and fairness is indispensible.However ,a government cannot play an evenhanded part in the arts.Inadequated resoures call for restrictions,prioritis ,and choices.It is also unreasonalbe and even absurd to ask a a  politician to evaluate an art work who generally only concerns rights and benefits.For example,
While generally speaking,government is unsuitable to fund the arts,in some cases ,governments can make a function of supportment somehow.For example ,if the citizens of a region know little o or do not pay much attention to the arts, the government,which is the local authority,could help make the arts more prevail and inclined.
