The author of the editorial argue that in order to help reduce its rising crime rate ,the town of Dalton should adopt the curfew which keeps young people at home late at night.To support his arguement the author claims that the town of Williamsville which adopted the curfew four months ago reduced the crime by 27 percent during curfew hours.The author also points out that in Williamsville's town square not a single crime was reported since the curfew was introduced.I find the editorial logically unconvincing in several respects.
   To begin with,the author assumes that young crime in Williamsville dropped by 27percent because the curfew made it illegal for persons under age of 18 to loiter or idle in public places after 10p.m.But I do not agree with it.Perhaps the time in which young crime dropped is not after 10p.m.;if so,The declination of crime has no relationship with the curfew .Even if the decline was after 10.p.m.Perhaps there are other causes which made the young crime  dropped.For example ,the weather during the four months is so cold that  juveniles do not want to go outside . Thus ther would be no crime happened at that time.Without accounting for other possibilities ,the author can not convince me that the reducement was caused by the curfew.
   Another problem with the aguement is that the author [falsely narrow the space of crimal taking place].He or she claims that not a single crime was reported in Williamsville's town square where its citizens were once most outraged at high crime rate .As a result, the curfew is effective in the town.Maybe it is the fact in the square but he ignores  that crimes would take place in other locations.The data in one place cannot inicate that there is no crime reported in all the town. If so,the effect of the curfew is dubious.
  Even if the curfew in Williamsville is effective ,it is an openly doubt that the curfew is samely effective in the town of Dalton.As there is no identical two leaves in the world ,the two towns have their own different situations.Maybe the citizens in Dalton do not want  to be restrained .Thus the curfew will have a bad effection.Or perhaps the criminals in the town prefer to make crimes before 10p.m.,which will make the curfew before 10p.m. useless.
  To conclude ,the author in the editorial has made a few  logical fallacies,which render it wholly unpersuasive . To bolster the editorial's claims the author must provide clear evidence that it is the curfew not other possibilities that was in fact responsible for a decline in Williamsville's young crime rate .The author must also show that the curfew would have similar effect in the town of Dalton.

总的来说写的很不错，除了个别词拼错了以外，语句还是很流畅的，驳斥点也找的不错
author [falsely narrow the space of crimal taking place]. 这么说好像不太公平吧，作者并没有缩小范围说事情，只是举个例子说明在局部地区效果非常好，并没有完全依赖这个事实得出结论。也许该从这个例子不具代表性来进行批驳

1.作者没有对两个城市的具体情况做具体研究和比较就得出了不可信的结论。首先，在W犯罪率下降可能是因为其他原因。其次，即使在W市获得成功是因为curfew，而在the condition in D may be not the same as W. 虽然，文中indicate that there is a rising crime rate, 但是没有说明这其中青年犯罪特别是夜间犯罪所占比例。很有可能在W夜间青年犯罪率很低，那么实行这一措施不仅没有用，反而限制了年轻人的自由，给人们带来恐慌。

2.作者没有分析rising crime的构成和原因，也许这些新的犯罪都是一些严重犯罪，那么应该加强巡逻，加强警备力量来加快破案速度。即使青少年犯罪率上升也要分析原因，比如是不是因为青年人得不到尊重，是不是经济不景气很多人没法上学又找不到工作，in this case,我们应该采取措施保证青少年的权利和应有的尊重，或是改善经济环境或降低学费使他们重新上学rather than adopting a curfew，才能从根本上防止犯罪。
