Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.

Skepticism, as the attitude to doubt the incredible things, is recommended in both educational areas and job marketing. I fundamentally agree with the conclusion that students nowadays are required to a certain skepticism to the knowledge they study-- in other words, to question what they are being taught to a proper extent instead of memorizing and accepting what taught by teachers passively.

The function of proper skepticism, as far as I am concerned, could be generalized in two-fold ways.

Firstly, certain skepticism help student to obtain a profound understanding with the knowledge, for example, to distinguish the difference between facts and opinions. As we know, the facts exist permanently which remain respective of individual's motives and points of view; while the opinions, in the opposite way, differs due to the variability of people from different backgrounds and of the aspects and skills to investigate the problems. With the help of skepticism and later the discussion or debate with others, one could easily find what the facts that cannot be shifted are and what are opinions. Thus he/she could classify the knowledge and treat with them in different way to gain the greatest efficiency.

Secondly, skepticism is the first step to find out problems and to correct mistakes. It is well known that all theories and principles have weakpoints regardless of their precision in many cases. With the certain skepticism in study, one may question the arbitrary assertions and doubt the reliability of the proven process, both of which may are the very weakpoints of the principles. Further investigation and improvement laid on the problems may lead a breakthrough in these areas and create a brand new theory. Even if neither happens, the student surely has much deeper impression and understanding in this knowledge. These are what traditional teaching could not bring to.

From this point of view, the process of education is an interactive one that required the involvement of both the teachers and students; while skepticism, served as the reflection from the students to their knowledge, is the active involvement showing their participation. Passive acceptance, although seems to be effective in a short time, actually refrain the development of the capability of the analysis, weaken the creativity seeking new ways to solve specific problems, and discourage the brevity and curiosity of the students to doubt the experience from ancestors. Fortunately, the involvement of skepticism can solve these problems in most cases-- students question what they doubt and get the truth after their further investigation and co-operation with others and teachers. They learn more from themselves and others subjectively, rather than passive acceptance from teachers.

Nevertheless, the prosperity on education could only be attained by the skepticism to a proper extent; overdue skepticism, or even total distrust the teachers and books may refrain the process of study-- to be worsen, do harm the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. Imagine a student who pays no respect of what book said and neglect the guidance from teachers. What he/she has done is to doubt the things around him, without any action to make further investigation to prove the rightness of them. Obviously, nothing valuable could be learned or gained. Although it may be an extreme example, it illustrates that the skepticism is a two-side sword that has its danger and may cause harm if utilized incorrectly.

In conclusion, skepticism should be taken in the process of study, especially when the trends in modern educational system proves that most students "are conquered" by the passive acceptance of knowledge rather than "are willing to conquer" the knowledge subjectively. However, to what extent the skepticism should be recommended and brought into should be taken into careful consideration.

不必特意追求用词语句的多样性，我觉得你已经做的不错了。需要注意的是很多地方表达的不很地道，我都要看好几遍才能明白你的意思。还有，有些介词用得不规范。

so猫, 我觉得这篇的词汇和句式变化很丰富了. 比我的153写的好多了.
就是像鬼谷子和pooh JJ说的, 缺乏例子来具体化.
我觉得b2这个例子感觉对你的观点不是很有说服力. 或者根据你写的, skeptism的作用没有突出来, 你只说with the help of skepticism, 这是个很vague的表达. 而且我觉得跟b6表达的意思似乎是重合的. 加深理解的确是个很抽象的东西, 道理很明白, 可就是很难写. 我也觉得不知道该怎么说得清楚. 我觉得重点应该在怀疑的过程. 比如提出一个一个历史事件, 如果只是被动的接受, 学生最多只能知道这件事, 但是通过问为什么,怎么会, 就会了解事情的前因后果以及趋势, 以及隐藏着事实下面的某些东西, 知道这些, 不是相对于不是一个从know过渡到understanding, even profound understanding的过程么?
觉得b6写的很好呀, 句式很丰富.
另外建议so猫开头不要写的太general, 应该把自己在下面要表达的观点稍微概括一下比较好.
