Can no field of study advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study, as the speak claims? As far as I am concerned, I strongly agree with this assertion.
To begin with, with the development of science, technology and art, almost any field of study has become mature, unless we introduce the knowledge from other fields into the specific field 用one吧,要不感觉重复 which we are interested in, we will not develop that field further. Nowadays, when carrying on a research in one field, scientists 用experts吧,scientists专指科技人才嘛 often find that traditional methods cannot helpsolve their problems anymore, while in orderto solve them they have to use creative measures .But where do creative methods come from? They often come from other fields. For example, with the globalization of economy, several years ago, economists found thatonly using the traditional economical means they encountered many troubles when solving mattersmatters感觉怪怪的,problems. Later, some economists use mathematic methods to solve economical matters which cannot be solved by traditional economical rules and principles and they succeed. 个人认为这个例子似乎不太恰当,因为经济学一直以来都离不开数学。
Furthermore, the knowledge from different fields will create new fields and these new fields ones will contribute a lot to us. History has witnessed the creation of some new fields. A good example is the biochemistry. Before the born of biochemistry, biology and chemistry are separate fields. They use their own methods to solve their own issues. These two fields have resolved a lot of problems but compared with the ones which are solved by biochemistry, they are less important for the survival of human beings. 其实可以说它们没有生物化学的贡献在学术领域上的意义重大
In addition, the knowledge from other fields may not impetusimpetus是名词,可以用promote the development of one specific field directly, but they can wider the scope or vision of scientists and help them to think wider and deeper from a broader perspective. In the past, people thought art and technology were quite different things and the two ones they cannot learn anything from each other. But now we know this is not the case. Art can learn from technology, technology can learn from art ,tooboth of them have advantages which are helpful to each other. 感觉少了个连接词,比如说for example? The "chaos" is a difficult problem in physics, but people find that the picture of "chaos" is so beautiful that some artists use computers to produce kinds of "chaos" pictures. And we know Einstein played violin during his spare time and other famous scientists listen music, draw paintings, etc Einstein is very fond of … while other famous scientists…. They cannot get direct answers to their tough problems from doing these, however, they admitted doing these can help them to conquer those tough problems. they consider it beneficial to them in the process of …
In summary, the knowledge from other fields will help scientists to solve problems in their field and new scientific fields will born with the cooperation of different scientific fields. Therefore, if we want to advance one specific field of study significantly we should learn from other fields. |
