Chuangyin Dang is the Head and Professor at the Department of Advanced Design and Systems Engineering. His research interests include game theory and applications, systems modeling and optimization, machine learning and pattern recognition, and computational economics. His research has been published in leading journals in related fields, such as Mathematical Programming, Mathematics of Operations Research, Games and Economic Behavior, SIAM Journal on Optimization, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, and IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence.

Students that have (or will have) BS in physics, math., IE, CS, automation, and other related fields are welcome. Students from C9 league are highly preferred. Feel free to contact him. The monthly stipend of a PhD student at CityU is 17510 HKD (2022 standard).
