As more and more emphasis has been put on the world's most persistent social problems, how to solve these problems becomes a hot issue these days. The speaker suggests that a global university should be established that engage students in the process of solving all over the world. In my point of few, I strongly agree with the statement for the following reasons.

To begin with, since most of the world's most persistent social problems are international instead of regional and has tight relationship with the interests of all countries, it is the duty and obligation of all nations to cooperate in order to solve them. One needs to look no further than the problems of greenhouse effect and ozonosphere xx [臭氧层空洞不知道怎么说] . These problems caused by excessive emitting harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and Freon of humans are so severe in that they has seriously threaten the survival of the human being. Needless to say, every nation should work together so as to find reasonable solutions to these crisis since they are closely related to the development of human society and to some extent, the survival of the human being and all the other species in the world. In other words, the concept of nation the society would be meaningless if humankind is threatened by such problems.

Furthermore, the establishment of such a global university necessarily gives an assurance of adequate and imperative money or science resources like instruments required in the process of researches and thus also gives an assurance to the solving of those problems which, from another point of view, would never be settled by only one nation since the expenditure is strikingly too huge.

Moreover, such a global university provides a place and precious opportunities for people of different nations all over the world to discuss together to share their distinct attitudes and opinions towards these irrigating international problems. As is known, every nation has a distinct culture system and thus has its own values and attitudes and what is more, the method and technology of approaching problems which may benefits the process of solving for its unique understanding and experience. Take a general example for the easterner and the occidental. As is known to all, the occidental is good at reasoning and logic while the easterner has a profound apprehension of induction. The cooperation of the two may help them not only to make best use of their own advantages but also that they can learn from the other's strong points to offset one's weakness which ultimately benefit the solving of problems in that cooperation provides a broader and to some extent, a new perspective towards everything.

Admittedly, different languages, religion beliefs, customs and so forth may serve as obstacles in the discussion. However, these disadvantages seem insignificant provided the extraordinary advantages referred above.

In the final analysis, establishing such a global university to engage in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems benefits a lot in that they can provide necessary money and what is more, different perspectives in perceiving problems regardless of its tiny disadvantages.

Some people advocate that a golbal university, which designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems, should be supported by all nations. Undoubtedly, there are so many persisten problem, such as proverity, war, drug traffikering and terrorism, needed the cooperation of all nations to solve, which require some cross-culture backgroound specialists who can be educated in such a global university. Nevertheless, as the globalization and urbanization make the culture generized, some culture curriculum should be given in the university.

There are so many persistent social problems can not be solved by only one and two nations, they need all the nations in the world cooperate. First, eliminate proverity, which is the most improtant problem with the longest history, and it is firmly believed by most scholars that proverity directly or indirectly lead to other persistent social problems. The proverity in Africa is serious, and cause the tribe murder and war to some extents, they need the help from other countries, such as hygiene, foods and education, those huge needs can not be afforded by only one or two countries, so that UN play an importantant part in such events. Second, war, the conflict between countries and countries or tribes and tribes, also need other countries to help them neogotiate. The ceaseless war last for two decades in the middle Africa was succesful neogotiated by some other friendly countries in the world. In addition, the terrorism and drug-traffikering are crimes that across more than one countries, especially need the cooperation of countries, so that they can be eliminated thoroughtly.

To solve those problems, we need the cooperation of differents countries, furhermore the cooperation need them understand each other, so that the cooperation can be more effective. For example, the disaster erupted in southern Asia last year cause many residents there become homeless and with out enough foods and medicine; some so called democracy country provide pork associate production to Indonesia which is an Islam country; consequently, their action not only helpfullless but also harm the emotion of Indonisians.

A global university is required to provide some talents with enough cross-culture backgrounds. So that they can help the cooperation among different nations to be more effective, at least they can refrain some unnecessary mistakes from the cooperation.

In sum, from what have been discussed above, we can easily draw that a global university is necessaried, it can help the interelation among different countries in the world, and advance the cooperation between them which aim at solving persistent social problems.

大家觉得这个issue能不能从反对的角度去写，我尝试了一下，列了个提纲：首先指出建立一所这样综合性大学回遇到的困难；然后指出即使建立了这样一所大学，又用什么方法来实行庞大的教学任务；接着论述大学生所能解决的问题是有限的，无论在哪；最后让步说也是有好处的，但总的可行性不是那么有意义．大家觉得怎么样？
