个人主张去芝加哥，据说康乃尔在山上，太冷清了。 毕竟芝加哥大学还是在大城市，生活方便些，机会也要多点。

MPA is easier to find jobs than MPP, obviously. Chicago U is similar good as Cornel.  but city of Chicago is wonderful.

Well, concerning job opportunities, which one is better, MPP or MPA? I once heard from my friend that MPP is much marketable than MPA.

先恭喜楼主哦,这两个学校综合排名都是不相上下的,去年chicago略胜一酬,今年一样,都是14,USnews上的排名,专业排名(public affairs)好象是chicago高一些,而且大城市就业容易一些啊!想问一下楼主,MPA或MPP是不是都不太容易拿奖学金啊,楼主好强啊,能介绍一下背景吗?

MPP is much likely about policy analyst, while MPA emphasis on real management stuff. MPA is professional education, whiile MPP leads to PHD program much more.

Depending on whether you will stay in U.S., while many people believe they will definately come back to China, but after they get U.S., they choose to stay. But now, there is increasingly trend for U.S. 's Chinese student coming back to China. I have many friend who studied in Harvard, Yale, and many other top schools all come back to China. So if you choose to come back to China, then MPA definately. if you want to stay in U.S. for while after graduation, then better choose MPP. As forienger, it is hard to get in their government agencies. However, MPA is provided to students who will attend U.S. government agencies or related institute. MPP has broader choices, like research companies, consulting companies, as well as some other big companies that need policy analysts,  or PHD program.

How about the comparsion about MPA in Maxwell and MPP in Chicago?
