It is impossible for an effective political leader to tell the truth all the time. Complete honesty is not a useful virtue for a politician.

  At the first glance, this statement asserts above seems to be somewhat convincing, but further reflection tells me that I cannot completely agree with it. Although let the political leader to tell the truth all the time is impossible, to be an honest leader is very important.

  First and foremost, honest is a most important virtue for all the humanities besides the politician. We must trust everybody around us that to let they truest you. When we was young, our parents always told us to be an honest men and only by doing that we can live with others heart by heart to make a friendly and healthy society. So about the political leaders, as effective men to leader a country, their moral behaviors could decide the whole destiny o the nation. And to be honest is the fundamental to be a men, especially to become a leader, they tell truth to the public, practice what they acceptance for the people, they trust the people in their govern like their family members, and the people be trusted will give a stable support to their honest leaders.

  Besides, if the political leaders keep something what the people should know secretly, the result may be harmful. Take a catastrophe for example, SARS, invading the whole world in 2004, give a seriously attack to the humanities. Beijing, the capital of China, seems to be the earliest place to explode the disease in the world, and it seems to be discovering earlier. Due to the mayor of Beijing called ... [忘了] that when he knew the truth about SARS, fearing about being fired that he made the way to keep the plague an unknown thing to the public, only say that it is a indisposition like normal fevers The consequence we all had known that because of the mayor unhonest, Beijing become a emergence place, and many people died, the mayor himself is fired by the Center and more strict punishments will penalize his honestless.

  However, sometimes it is impossible for the leaders to tell all the truth, just like the president George W Bush, who lied to the pubic that the Iraq have the heavy-wound-weapons and made a war means counter terror, it is just a individual intent that wearing a high-sounding skin to enshroud the lie. When the public know the truth, they would not like to accept this, which do more harm to they than little use, then the leader will find the oppose from the public and feel unstable. So from this instance the honest seems to be useless for the political leaders but useful to the public who are the major part in the society, to make sure who is the mainstream in the world, the political leaders should to be a true-hearted men and not always lie the peoples specially in some parts related to their benefits.

  Consequently, due to analysis and reasons mentioned above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any one of them, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that being a honest men is so important for the political leaders although they cannot tell truth all the time, the useful virtue can help they to administer their country more effective and get supports from more people
