The human mind will always be superior to machines because machines are only tools of human minds.

Although people always control machines, machines are not inferior to human beings in many ways. In other words, human cannot compare with many functions of machines.
To begin with, as far as accuracy and velocity are concerned, machines do better than human beings. As we know, before computer was invented, it usually took several months for scientists to finish a series of scientific computing so that they can gain a conclusion on their specific study. What is more, during their process of computing(改research), a slight flaw will cause a large loss in the end(改to the conclusion) and it is hard to find this (mistaken) point. On the contrary, performing the same task only cost several seconds or minutes by virtue of computer. Since it is projected carefully and have been tested many times before it is applied in scientific field, little flaw will be committed. In addition, because machines do not have emotion, their productivity will not be impacted by things happened around them, this effect which human beings find it hard to attain. For example, a girl was deserted by his boyfriend one day, when she went to work, requiring her pay attention on what she was doing would be impossible(改it is impossible for her to pay attention to what she was doing). If she were a worker producing toys(改she is a worker of toys-made company), the rate of products that are not eligible more often than not would be very high during those days(这句没看懂). However, this condition will never happen when mentions(machines) perform her tasks.
On the other hand, mentions(machines) can do things in abnormal environment where human beings cannot go nowadays. Take the exploration of outer space for example. Considering there are so many uncertain factors in outer space, people usually send advanced robots there to collect data. Firstly, temperature in outer space may be very high or very low that is not fit for people's surviving(改temperature in outer space usually not fit for people's surviving, it is neither too hot or too cold). Secondly, when people leave the earth, they will be bothered by the problem of gravitational loss(改)less gravity than earth). Last but not least, the distance of planes(planets) is so large that voyage in outer space may cost several decades, which almost no one can burden. Only when information that machines collected is so much that people can ensure that sending human beings there is safe, can somebody be sent there to do further research(改only when information that machines collected is adequate could ensure the safey of sending human beings there and for more to do further research).
Admittedly, no matter how advanced machines are, they are only tools of human minds. Nowadays, when someone admires the powerful capacity of some machines, he/she should not neglect the fact that it is the more powerful human beings who invented them. Machines can only perform task following those prescribed programs. A good case in point is that the human- machine struggle which happened several years before. At first, deep-blue defeat the most famous cheer player of the world. But when the latter used an erratic means in the second bout, the chess player won. Because, deep-blue had program including those normal means of cheer player often used before and cannot take measures when it met new condition. In this sense, the cleverest ones are still human who remain dominating our world.
In conclusion, notwithstanding human beings cannot be controlled by machines, the latter indeed are superior to them in many sides. |
