法律不应该是僵化或固定的，而应该根据不同的环境、时期和地点而足够灵活。



The speaker asserts that laws should be more flexible , instead very strict and fixed, no matter under what kind of circumstances, times, and places. In my opinon, the speaker' contention a little bit goes extreme.As laws, they were born with their rigidity and fixed, which is buttressed in the following reasons.
  First of all, when it comes to the different places, it works in the similar way. As far as I know , the lawyers and judgers, including the juries in American, make their judgments according to the precedents that were judged in the past. In China, as a matter of fact, it is similar that in the jurisprudence system , although we have not to judge the case accounting on the precedents, they are still very strong and effective criterion in the process of the judgments. Therefore, under the different places, it is fixed instead of flexible.
  Secondly, laws are distinguished themselves from other regulations because of their stability. Imagine that laws were changed all the time, how people have the strong believe in them? What's more, laws are regulated by governments, if they made them different in different cases, there would be a lot of troubles coming into existence and even threaten the security of the whole country.
  Last but not least, laws is a form that can be applied in all circumstances. If the judger applied different standard of laws to different group of people between, upper class and lower class, high-income group and low-income group, government officials and blue-collar workers, no one will obey them for the reason that after their obligation to keep the digty of laws, however, which will not protect them from insulations. In the country, even though a princess commit crimes, or even very minor one, he was supported to be punished as the same as other citizens. Take the son of princess Charles--William for example, he was condemned and punished to drink alcohol in the bar with his friends but he was not old enough from the laws' inspective. In American, where people could enjoy a most freedom, has a strong and effective jurisprudence system. Take the Watergate issue for instance, was sued no matter he was a president or not. President Clinton as well , even he was a president of the whole country, he was also charged for his behavior, and it is because he was the president in the United States, he received more condemn from others.
  On the other hand, when it comes to the laws which are written thousands years ago, and was regulated in a different social system, we had better to review them according to the true circumstances in today's "live" society, which will make sure that it works in the correct way and serve the country.
  In short, laws are the form to secure the whole country living under an order and safe environment, not only for some group of people to find excuses to dodge the punishment for their behavior. What's more, laws should be the most fair regulation, which is ensured by their rigidity and are fixed all the time under different time , places and circumstance, except the very old one ,which will sentence people by separating their bodies into pieces.
