As we acquire more knowledge, things do not become more comprehensible, but more complex and more mysterious.

The speaker considers that knowledge does not make things more comprehensible but more complex and more mysterious. I agree, to some extent, that knowledge is so profound and complicated that one person hard to master all information in some field. At the same time, however, the speaker should realize that ultimate aim to study knowledge is to make our life and work more simple and efficient. In my opinion, whether or not the knowledge makes our life complex and mysterious completely depends on our comprehension from different viewpoint.
To begin with, the world virtually is complex and complicated while knowledge helps people to understand it. Any simple phenomenon contains complex detail. For example, with regard to variation of the weather, it looks so simple that less people thinks the complex cause of formation which refer to wide knowledge such as meteorology, geography and ecology and so on; People feel so common about the difference of creature but the profound DNA knowledge can explain the distinction. If people do not acquire the knowledge to understand world, in their eyes, the world is simple. Once some phenomenon or problem can not be explain, the superstition will come to being .In the past, people attempt to explain some mysterious phenomenon by imagination, then some fictional figures, such as God, ghost, demon, and angels, create in people mind. Today, people clearly known that superstition only prevent the development of society while knowledge let us understand the real world.
However, the ultimate aim that we constantly explore the world by study and research is to simplify our work. At human history, many scholars and scientists try their best to research and invent to acquire a real theory that boost the development of world. For example, Einstein discovers the Theory Of Relativity through countless complex reasoning and experiments, which is not easily comprehended by most people but it is applied to many fields and solves many problems that puzzle us long time. Another a case in point is related to Newton, who formulated three laws to clarify the theory that the planets revolve around the sun. Although the progress to discover theory is complicated to study, the basic truth is a breakthrough in many subject and become a premise to better know and change world. From this angle, to study and research complicated knowledge can simplify our work, which make our work more rapid develop.
In addition, high-tech products concentrate various complex idea and theory for the sake of simple and high efficient life. They release people from tedious and repeated labor and provide more time to do enjoy life or do beneficial work. Such products, such as washing machines, mobiles, computers and airplanes so on, contain quite complex technology but people conveniently use them with simply method of operation. On the other hand, form these aspects, we can understand that the to study knowledge is summary the complex information and form a clear and simple mind that benefits to advance quality of our life and promote the development of society.
In conclusion, we may better know the world and change the word by study. Although the content of knowledge is complex and mysterious, it finally serves us in order to simplify our work the advance the quality of life.
