------题目------
Most people live, whether physically or morally, in a very restricted circle. They make use of a very limited portion of the resources available to them until they face a great problem or crisis.
------正文------
As the pace of living becomes faster and faster, it is a common phenomenon that most people live in a so restricted circle that they often only make use of a very limited portion of the resources. Although it seems too limited for people to live a happy life, I still support this kind of lifestyle for several reasons.
In the first place, as I mentioned in the beginning of this article, the fast pace of living makes people have not very much time to communicate with more friends or collegue. To catch up with the development of society, that is to say, to avoid falling behind others or even being laid off, people have to take their jobs during weekdays in an effective and effecient way which brings them much pressure and stress. Even after one-week work, a lot of people would like to have a rest at home instead of having a picnic outside with friends to relax themselves and prepare for the work of next week. This kind of lifestyle restricts people's living circle. Even worse, people cannot change it because of the requirements of making lives.
Moreover, I do not think the larger circle is better than the smaller one all the time. Take making friends for example, it is happier for people to have some real friends than to have so many friends that we can only have little time to communicate with every one of them. As the saying goes, "A friend in need is a friend in deed". When we trap into some dilemmas, only those real friends would like to help us sinserely without any intentions for money or interests. Even if the number of friends are not too many, we still have more chances to use of resources available than those who have lots of friends but without a loyal one. Meanwhile, from helping each other, we get the friendship which is one of the most cherishable things during one's life.
It seems true that if we have a very restricted circle, we can make use of a very limited portion of the resources available. But carful scrutiny would prove that the fact is not like the appearance. As we know that there is a shapeless primary during the numerous kinds of animals and plants, that is a primary of food. The animals on the higher location can benefit from the base of the primary. Similarly, there exists a shapeless net between people, although every one does not know too many persons, we can actually use the resources through our friends' resources and even more steps during the course of solving problem or crisis.
Admittedly, too restricted circle is not good for us. If a person would not like to communicate with others except a few friends, he would fail to be welcomed by the public, who think that he is a person hard to get along with. In this case, any of his opinions or achievements can hardly be accepted by the public because of the bias.
In sum, the lifestyle of persons to live only in a very restricted circle is the result of the rapid development of the technology and more serious competition in society. The number of people we get along with does not stand for the limited portion of the resources we could use. The only thing we should do is to communicate with our friends and other people we know if we have free time to keep the relationship. |
