Governments must ensure that their major cities receive the financial support they need in order to thrive, because it is primarily in cities that a nation's cultural traditions are preserved and generated.
The speaker claims (states) that government must firstly provide financial support to their major cities in order to thrive in that it is mainly in cities that nation's cultural tradition are preserved and generated. In my view, this statement is too extreme for three reasons. Firstly, traditional culture in major cities is not preserved but harmed. Nevertheless, some small cities and villages contribute to maintain and hand down tradition. However, they are too poor to support their program of maintaining and generating tradition. Therefore, I advocate that government provide small cities and villages more finance to help them maintain and generate the tradition.

First of all, in some major cities, nation’s cultural traditions are destroyed but not preserved. Most of us concern that major cities rapidly develop economy but few pay attention to the cost of tradition accompanied economical development. Modern buildings replace traditional architecture and people prefer to soap opera for amusement instead of Beijing opera that is representative of traditional culture. For instance, there is a kind of yard that is popular from Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China and is a symbol of Beijing city. These yards gradually disappear and modern buildings as office sites and market centers stand up due to economical development. Therefore, to some extent in major cities people fail to preserve and in fact destroy traditional culture.

On the contrary, in some small cities and villages, nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and handed down from generation to another. In Chinese villages, with influence of elder people, a person usually begins with skills and performances with traditional character from childhood. For example, wielding lion made of cloth is an attractive traditional activity in the past not only for celebrating festivals but also for congratulating good news. Nowadays this kind of activity almost disappears in major cities and only in those small cities and villages we will enjoy it. In a word, some small cities and villages help to preserve and generate cultural traditions.

However, financial problems impede tradition’s preservation and generation in small cities and villages. Because of their poverty, many residents have to give up their traditional skill or art to earn money to support them probably resulting in disappearance of traditional culture. There is a kind of opera that is popular in northeast of China. The opera is become extinct in that seldom theaters would like to perform it and residents have no money to support it. Had government allocated the opera, it would have become extinct. Therefore, government should provide small cities and villages financial support to maintain traditional culture.

In a word, I disagree the speaker's statement that government must fund major cities to support them to preserve and generate nation's cultural traditions. Government, however, should fund some small cities and villages because small cities and villages contribute much to maintain and hand down traditions but lack money to support the preservation.

The speaker claims (states) that government must firstly provide financial support to their major cities in order to thrive in that it is mainly in cities that nation's cultural tradition are preserved and generated. (太长了,建议拆为两句)In my view, this statement is too extreme for three reasons. Firstly,(。。。 这个Firstly没有别的词来承接) traditional culture in major cities is not preserved but harmed. Nevertheless(相反,By contrast, 或者On the contrary), some small cities and villages contribute to maintain and hand down tradition. However, they are too poor to support their program(s) of maintaining and generating tradition. Therefore, I advocate that government (should) provide small cities and villages more finance to help them maintain and generate the tradition. (连续的maintain and generate the tradition,可以删除一个)。

First of all, in some major cities, nation’s cultural traditions are destroyed but not preserved. Most of us concern that major cities rapidly develop economy but few pay attention to the cost of tradition accompanied (with)economical development(后面三词删除,与前半句重复). Modern buildings replace traditional architecture and people prefer to soap opera for amusement instead of Beijing opera that is representative of traditional culture. For instance, there is a kind of yard that is popular from Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China (分句)and is a symbol of Beijing city. These yards gradually disappear (分句)and modern buildings as office sites and market centers stand up due to economical development. Therefore, to some extent (,)in major cities people fail to preserve (,)and in fact destroy(,) traditional culture.

On the contrary, in some small cities and villages, nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and handed down from generation to another(??). In Chinese villages, with influence of elder people, a person usually begins with skills and performances with traditional character from childhood. For example, wielding lion(这是舞狮吧?^_^) made of cloth is an attractive traditional activity in the past not only for celebrating festivals but also for congratulating good news. Nowadays this kind of activity almost disappears in major cities and only in those small cities and villages we(where?)will enjoy it. In a word, some small cities and villages help to preserve and generate cultural traditions.

However, financial problems impede tradition’s preservation and generation in small cities and villages. Because of their poverty, many residents have to give up their traditional skill or art to earn money to support them probably resulting in disappearance of traditional culture.(分句!!) There is a kind of opera that is popular in northeast of China. The opera is become extinct in that seldom theaters would like to perform it and residents have no money to support it.(想说二人转吧? 没看明白), it would have become extinct. Therefore, government should provide small cities and villages financial support to maintain traditional culture.

In a word(换个词吧,用过一次了。In sum, In conclusion), I disagree the speaker's statement that government must fund major cities to support them to preserve and generate nation's cultural traditions(不必重复引用). Government, however, should fund some small cities and villages because small cities and villages(重复,用they ) contribute much to maintain and hand down traditions but lack money to support the preservation.

For instance, there is a kind of yard 说得是四合院吧,后面解释了这么多可以干脆用汉语拼音把四合院评出来,然后解释是什么东西that is popular from Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China and is a symbol of Beijing city. These yards gradually disappear and modern buildings as office sites and market centers stand up due to economical development. Therefore, to some extent in major cities people fail to preserve and in fact destroy traditional culture.

On the contrary, in some small cities and villages, nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and handed down from generation to anotherfrom generation to generation好像比较顺哦,固定用法. In Chinese villages, with influence of elder people, a person usually begins with skills and performances with traditional character from childhood这句有问题,不通.

Therefore, government should provide small cities and villages withfinancial support to maintain traditional culture.

In a word, I disagree withthe speaker's statement that government must fund major cities to support them to preserve and generate nation's cultural traditions. Government, however, should fund some small cities and villages because small cities and villages contribute much to maintain and hand down traditions but lack money to support the preservation.

没看明白), it would have become extinct.

On the contrary, in some small cities and villages, nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and handed down from generation to another. The opera is become extinct in that seldom theaters would like to perform it and residents have no money to support it. Had government allocated allocate money…resources… support to the opera, it would have become extinct.
