The speaker advocates that the beginner in any field of inquiry makes more important discoveries than expert. I tend to agree that beginners are more likely to make breakthroughs in the field of inquiry.

In the first place, beginners have intense curiosity about the unknown and great courage to try new things, while experienced experts tend to be more conservative.  Take Einstein as an example, when he was young, he got interested in physics and began to wonder the classical theory of physics. When his theory of reality came out, few people believe him and most famous physical scientist thought his idea was mad. But when finally the correction of his theory was proved, our world changed. Many famous scientists become famous when they are young and promote their own theory that disagree with the popular views of their times. As one professor of my department said (and I paraphrase): " We want to receive more undergraduates rather than graduates, because these young students are likely more curios and brave when they are facing problems, and this can bring more new inventions out."

In the second place, beginners are highly motivated and enthusiastic people who are eager to establish their career and fame. I can serve as an example at this point. Now I am a student in a university of china. I don't want to get a well-paid job and live a normal life just as many other people around me. I want to be a top scientist in my field; I want to devote to the humanity around the world; I want to make great invents and I want to bring up several students who can inhabit my thoughts and pass them down from one generation to anther. So I pay more attention than others to my study and when I am in our lab, I keep inquiring to any thing that I don't know. I am progressing everyday and my professor gives his high praise to me. Beginners are often these highly motivated and enthusiastic people as I am to establish their career and frame.

Admittedly, beginners of have some weakness. They often lack experience and maybe more tense when dealing with new problems than experienced people. But I believe that they can conquer these disadvantages after some practice.

In conclusion, I hope it has been shown that beginner often make more discoveries than experienced people in any field of inquiry. With more beginners who are curiosity and brave enough to get science ahead, our society makes progress.
