It has been said for a long time that being integrity is necessary to everyone. However, complete honesty seems useless for a politician. To political leader, nothing could compare with the obligation of the political leader to survive and to thrive the country, which may sometimes confine them to tell all the truth to people.

It is the political leader who considers what is the most important to the country at that time, and gathers people to resolve such conflict or problem. For the sake of it, political leader lead people to the problem, ignoring some subordinate conflict in the society, as the case of a doctor who engage in the result but neglect the subordinate aspect. For example, in China, as a developing country, her political leaders consider that economy should be placed first, promising that the country will be prosperous and thriving by this way. However, reporting the high speed of boosting economy, Chinese government has never provided the accurate employment rate, which may reach six to seven percent accorded by some scholars’ statistic, to average, especially the people living in city. This is indeed that case that such high unemployment rate would impair the postivity of people and may impact the country economy. Furthermore, it is a great tragedy that political leader need to tell a lie to maintain the reputation of the country. It is prevailing in current society that political leaders always portray their country as a justice role, stating what they have done or will do is entirely for the future harmony and prosperity. The Japanese government and the prime minister refused to admit Japanese aggression to her Asian neighbors in the Second World War. People living in Asia, such as China and Korea, feel a natural repugnance to such behavior, but that will be a helpful mean to take off the criminal role to Japanese offsprings.（这样说会不会觉得我不爱国呢？？  :) ） That is the same to the U.S. president and Britain prime minister. George Bush and Blair declared in public many times that the war to Iraq is justice for the peace of the world, however, no chemical weapons are unearthed till now. Whereas, if the Japanese prime minister has admitted the aggression, the leader of America and Britain have acknowledged blunder to Iraq, that would be blemish in history. For the prestige of the country and the leader’s political lives, they force to prevent people from approaching the truth.

Notwithstanding, the political leader could not hold the information all the time, especially the information which is relevant to people lives. So significant are the people lives that political leaders unconcerned them will be despised or overthrown. People would not forget SARS, the deathful disease originated in China. The disease spreaded world widely and killed thousands of people. If the local leader in China had not kept the information and alerted the people before the disease exploded, people infected would have focused sufficient attention to avoid the disease. It is a sad truth that people lost their lives for the leader keeping the information.

In summary, of what significant is complete honesty to the political leader, if the truth will be remarkably impact the development of country, if admitting the truth will create a burden to country, if the truth would not exert any influence on people. However, political leaders should always keep in mind that the words they speaked will relate to the people’s life.
