在HOW TO 这本书里面.PAPER3的第三篇,THE urban revolution.选择题目第２９，我很不理解．我选择的是Ａ，但是答案却是Ｂ，原文说in  1800  only 5percent of the world's    population  were  urban   dwellers,  now  the  proportion  has risen  to  more than  45percent.and  by  the  year  2010  more   people   will  live  in   toens  and  cities  than  in  the  countryside,而题目问The  urban  population  of  the  world,,,,,A,has risen to  around  40percent  in the  last 200 years..B, will  have   risen  to   more  than  50  percent  by  the  year  2010.  C,has  risen   by  45percent  since  1800.

A,B的确很混淆，不过，around 40percent 不等于more than 45percent，more than 45percent 就是 接近 50％ 解题的重点不在 rise to/by ，这是一道数学题, 雅思里常见百分比之类，B是最接近的！

楼主：原文是说[U]现在[/U] 城市居民人口已超过45％，B说的是[U]到2010[/U] 这个比率会超过50％。按常识和原文判断这个表达都是对的。所以b不该怀疑。
至于A，我总觉得这个表达不够精确。in200  y ears 也应该用rise by ,而不是rise to ?如果是要表达增加了40％，那么后面应该加点定语把？比如说has rise by 40% of total population ,因为人口基数在变，呵呵，这个是歪理，楼主不必理会：）
