What is the importance of studying an academic discipline? At a aspect,It can change the way we perceive the world. I agree with the speaker that due to academic study we are able to demystify and penetrate nature and society as well.

Undoubtedly the more knowledge we acquire the more comprehensive picture we draw. A clear example would be the researches of physics. Thanks to Copernicus, we are informed that the earth is traveling around the sun in a round orbit instead of circling vice versa. Decades later, scientists drawed a more accurate picture with ellipse circle and in turn found other planets. As time flies, the concept of solar system  was formulated :nine planets and the sun. What is more, due to Albert Einstein's proposal of somewhat Cord Theory, people begin to regard the space as a curved time and space system. For centuries, the universe has changed less than the ways we view it.

Moreover, the study of history or government enlightens us that societies are not as simple as a mongline, and offers the ability to view the political and cultural phenonmena more reasonably and reliably without former emotions. A history student with the knowledge of historical wars mostly stemming from misunderstanding and miscalculation would do the best to stimulate cross-cultural understanding and mutual trusts to avoid strong conflicts between nations instead of relying on emotional and arbitrary motives. A student of government or policies would like to analyse those earlier take-for-granted idols or ideologies, such as the democratic feasibility, the embodiment of freedom to express, to name just a few.  And A law student would see the legal essence in the case of Texas versus Johnson, 1989, when a national flag was set on fire for the anti-war purpose; while others might consider the case as a desecration of the federal symbol. Devoid of these studies, we are likely to see the same world as formerly as to arrive at untenable conclusions .

Without academic studies, we cannot avoid of viewing the world and ourselves superficially.  For instance, we are likely to overlook the invisible rules in stockmarkets and in turn could not make reasonable investments, without the knowledge of economics. And an arts neophyte could not see aesthetic principles and historical influences except pigments and shapes. In addition, the study of philosophy would endow us with profound attituds and values on humanity. Phenomenology teaches that to be is rooted on to be apperceived rather than the objective existence. Given those researches, we can approach the truth of the world inch by inch.

In conclusion, the study of academic subjects offers us the quality of view the same world in different eyes. In the process of research, we are likely to gain a novel understanding of nature and society, to avoid emotional ideas, to see deeply the essence of human society and many other things.

What is the importance of studying an academic discipline? It can change the way we perceive the world. 这个只是一个重要性吧，这样说有点绝对I agree with the speaker that academic study could not simply broaden our horizon, but it can also improve our ability in reasoning感觉这个词不妥.

Undoubtedly academic study would endow us with the knowledge accumulated by our ancestors. Moreover这里好像没有明显的递进, deep in our study, the more knowledge we acquire the more comprehensive picture we draw. A clear example would be the researches of physics. Thanks to Sir Newton, we are informed that the law of gravitation works everywhere and the extent to which two matters attract each other is in accordance with each weight. Then if so, why they could not get together in the end? The theory of electromagnetism later gives us better explanation. What is more, due to Albert Einstein’s proposal of somewhat Cord Theory, people regard the world as a curved time and space system. For centuries, the universe has changed less than the ways we view it.我觉得你这里最后一句才点到了主题，而段首句似乎没有跟主题直接相关。例子上，最后一个例子很好，最后一句话也很能说明问题：通过学习，我们看东西的方式变了，而不是东西变了。那么我觉得你在Einstein前面的例子最好也举人们一直以来对universe的看法是怎么一步一步被改变的，这样相信这段更有说服力

Furthermore这里也感觉不到递进，而是说另一方面，你说呢 the study of history offers us the knowledge about where we are from 后面这里是什么意思but the ability we make our decisions这句依然是那个问题，这个句子跟主题几乎没有联系. The students who have been taught the U.S. independent history, would plant deeply in their minds the creed of self-independent and God gifted freedom, so that they would try their utmost to defend the constitutional rights. By the same token, researchers on the Ancient Chinese History would be glad to find that the prosperity of Tang Dynasty were partly due to the multicultural coexistence, then they could indicate accordingly that the possibility of the world without great cultural conflicts would suffice to足以？你是想说suffer？ world peace and social harmony. Devoid of these studies, we are likely to see the same world contrarily and draw to untenable conclusion that cultural confrontation is not avoidable and some peoples are inborn to be inferior.这段论证就不够强了，感觉举的两个例子比较散，也没有跟文章主题扯上关系。你似乎是在证明通过学习历史可以指导现在，而没有具体举例说明通过学习历史，虽然...没变，但我们看它的方式变了。

Without the study of the laws, we would 既然前面是without，这里应该加个not吧regard a demonstration or a protest from different viewpoints. A law student would see the legal essence in the case of Texas versus Johnson, 1989, when a national flag was set on fire for the anti-war purpose; while others might just 加强consider the case as a desecration of the federal symbol. 怎么又说到经济上去了Without the economic study, we are prone to overlook the invisible rules in marketplace and in turn could not make reasonable decisions, for instance, from formulating economic policies to investing in stock market.这个例子是说什么？没有说清楚啊 Even more, the study of philosophy would be most likely to completely change our values and the way we view the world. Let us take Phenomenology as an example: we are informed that essence of matters can not be accurately achieved and realized except their appearances. Given the knowledge of that, we can approach the truth of the world inch by inch.这个例子也不太合适。这段的主要问题还是完全没有主题，其实我觉得你law，economy或者是philosophy说一个就可以了，但是一定要充分展开。你这样排比其实是可以的，但是这样的话必须在段首加一个总领三个领域的主题句，而且如果每个都展开的话这段会比较长，看你自己时间上能不能满足了。

In conclusion, the study of academic subjects offers us the quality？ability of viewing the same world in different eyes. In the process of research, we are likely to gain a novel understanding of the world, to change our values, to see the invisible social principles, to make up reasonable decisions这里也与主题无关了, and so forth.

总体来看，最需要注意的就是每段主题一定要点明，还有举例的时候注意合适，不一定要多。每个例子说清楚就行了。
