Beijing Visa Interview pass; some experiences and suggestions for further interview

My background: pursue PHD in Telecom, Already have MA and worked for three years:
Keep in mind that you must be sure that you have all key documents before going to visa interview. (I lost DS 158, so I went out to buy one.)
Visa interviews seem to be easy-going right now. many of students got visa today, even some self-supported students.

Questions:
What will you do in U.S.?
A: going to study in PHD program of Media in MSU.

Have you been U.S. before?
A: Yes, I have B-1 visa and went to U.S. to participate conference there. I plan to join a conference in U.S. this June.

What are you doing right now?
I am research director in USITO, doing research and consulting on China Telecom and IT industry as well as policy.

That is good, what will you do after getting PHD?
A: I plan to open my own consulting company in China.

mmm, it is no problem for you to get visa, but please make sure that when you go to U.S. for conference, using your B-1 visa.

I am married and also changed my major, but Visa officer doesnot ask me the questions about it and did not see my materials even my offer letter.
so some important points:

1: to look like professionals: confidence and decent dress
2: answers should be short and clear
3:wait and smile when VO is reviewing your stuff
4: talking with people around you, which could calm you down.
5: dont show VO the materials that they do not ask you to show to them. this is important

Congratulations on your success. I am glad to know that you are also admitted by MSU since I will also go to this school this fall. I got my visa on May 12. Could you tell me when you leave for the school? and where will you start?
