最好能带的就带着吧，去到那边你不可能一下子就能找到买东西的门道，也不可能就有那么多时间和精力像在国内一样的购物。

If there is Wal-Mart in the city that you will go, you can find almost everything within two hours.

Since quilt takes too much space and is heavy, I personally stongly disagree with taking quilt to U.S.

By the way, normally mattress is provided in the furnished apartment and there is air conditioning in most apartment. Since most Chinese student arrive U.S during summer or fall, one bed sheet and blanket will be enough for them before the season changes.
