There are numerous cultures in every where of the world, no matter in Artic, in Asia, or in Africa. Each culture has its own rituals and ceremonies, on the other words rituals and ceremonies are specific part in culture and help to define a culture. I strongly agree with the point that groups of people will have a diminished sense of themselves with the diminishing of specific rituals and ceremonies in their culture.

With the advanced technology spreading to all the corner of world, the western culture was spread to most of the world. All the young people, even if in the rural area, know when should be the Christmas day and most of them more exited to take that holiday than to enjoy their own specific ritual days. Just as a sword with to blades, while get great benefits from the advanced technologies, absorbing too much other cultures is the main reason for the diminishing of rituals and nation specification.

In an atmosphere of inflexible pacing life, people are too busy to keep their specific rituals and ceremonies. The stressful life often leads us forget who we are. Just as in China, several decades ago, there are about fifty kinds of different ritual days or ceremonies per year which including the spring festival, the lunar festival, the mountain festival and so on. The most significant festival is Spring Festival, it indicates that a blissful new year’s coming. In the festival, children could take new dresses, ignite firecracker, and got a little amount of money which from the grandpa or grandma. Adults often pay a visit to their seniorities and neighbors during Spring Festival. But now firecracker is forbidden in most city of China because of environmental protection. New clothes are never an exited thing to children. And the old custom paying a visit to every relatives and neighbors in the first morning after the spring festival eve is discarded because it is more convenient for everyone to call each other. In some degree, it is a kind of sorrow to know that what is the most significant ceremony in china -- the spring festival is diminishing.

It is because the rituals and ceremonies are delivered down from generation to generation. Only those ceremonies with good conservation could be kept. But most of ceremonious are not so lucky. Enormous reasons can let those rituals lost such as the war, the nature disasters, pandemic disease, or the number of nations is too few to keep such rituals. In American the most significant example is the Indians. while losing their own land , the Indians lost their own rituals,. Those Indians don’t know where they belong to. With the yellow skin they know that he belongs to another culture which different with those white people, but they say the same kind of language with white people, take the same kind of food, enjoy the same kind of drink and take the same ceremony with the white people. With losing their rituals and ceremonies, they lost their belonging in mind. How to keep those rituals and how to keep those specific cultures is one problem to us.

From what is discussed above, we can clearly get the conclusion that with the diminishing of ceremonies and rituals, the specific of culture will lost and the groups of people will lost their sense of nation specific adscription. With the globalization we should notice is how to keep those specific rituals and ceremonies in culture and how to pass down it one generation to next generation.

With development of technology, the temper in our daily lives becomes faster and faster. The rituals and ceremonies are simplified or some of them are discarded. On the other hand, it is because the rituals and ceremonies were passed down from generation to generation. Only those ceremonies with good conservation could be known. But most of ceremonious are not so lucky. Enormous reasons can let those rituals lost such as the war, the nature disasters, and pandemic disease.
