2. • persistent, dogged, tenacious, persevering, determined, stalwart

------题目------
Facts are stubborn things. They cannot be altered by our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions.
------正文------
Facts reflect the real stuff and truth of the world. I agree that they cannot be changed by outer forces such as our wishes, inclinations or passions.
First of all, facts justified by technology and people are subjective(objective) and stubborn, no matter how we think, they cannot be altered. In the ream of astronomy, people used to consider that the sun rotates around the earth due to their limited ways of observation. Actually, the fact is proved that the earth rotates around the sun. In the ream of medicine, it was believed that human think through the organ(去掉organ,后面的brain也是organ)---heart, which was the inclination of people in the past. In fact, we all know that the brain the source of minding. Also in the ream of arts, Van Gogh’s works were the stone miles of arts world, although people used to ignore his achievements. All these facts are proven and accepted by the present people. Therefore, facts cannot be altered by people's wishes, inclinations or dictates, no matter now or in the past[color=Red[/color]].(这句有着明显的汉译英倾向!无论过去还是现在!改为whenever it is!如何?)(这段的ream全部改为realm)
Furthermore, facts written by history are more(stubborn就是stubborn, more是什么意思?) stubborn and they are definitely cannot be changed. Some events happened in the past were curdled (^_^)with time. No matter how we wish or dictate, these events are stubborn facts and recorded by history. For example, the right wing of Japanese refuses to concede that Japan started the aggression war and tries to mend(distort?) the history test books for students. No matter what they do, the history facts cannot be changed(老用change,换为history is there如何?) and the pain of the Asian people cannot be ignored. Moreover, something such as some architectures referring to the history also reflect the historical facts, which cannot be changed at all. For instance, the Great Wall stands for the defense of Chinese people against other nations to invade(other nations’ invasion). The Great Wall stands on the mountains for thousands of years, which is solid and stubborn historical fact. Therefore, facts especially refers to the history cannot be changed by our wishes, inclinations or dictates at all.(感觉这段和上一段没有区别,都可以放到一块!能不能从某个角度分一下类,这样论证起来更清析一些?)
Admittedly, sometimes facts may be distorted by people's wishes, inclinations or dictates. In some cases, facts are attained by someone else's interpretation. Different people with different opinions may have different interpretations. In this way, the facts may be altered by these people's inclinations or dictates. For example, when facing the same event different reporters may have a variety of views, which results in much different reports. And it is possible that they put their wishes or passions into the reports, which may change the real facts. Also the reporters may be faced the pressure of the authority so that they cannot tell the public the truth of the fact. Hence, in some situations, the facts we gain are not the real and stubborn things.(我认为这段完全可以写为Although sometimes the facts may be twisted by records created by contemporary writers or reporters, the real facts will eventually be exposed by descendents.可否就这点举个例子?)
To sum up, in my opinion facts in most realms no matter in the past or in the present are stubborn things. The way people wish or dictate cannot change the fact. However, in some particular cases, the facts we attain may be distorted to some extent.
例子很多,具有说服力,但感觉逻辑很乱!可否从多个层面进行讨论!
