提纲:
1 艺术家的价值毋庸置疑
这一段是凑字数凑出来的,总觉得很显然,不知道该写些什么好
2 艺术作品中的价值必须被认可才可以成为社会价值的一部分
我也不知道阐述的够不够清楚,请大家帮我看看
3 在一些情况下评论家推动了新兴艺术的发展

用一个小时写,又花了半个多小时改
感觉还是写的很老套,sigh~
大家帮我提提意见,谢谢了:)

   Who contribute more to the lasting value of our society, the artists or the critics? Obviously, it is the artists who create the original articles that enrich the spiritual fortune of our society, such as the oil paintings, the poets, the symphonies and so on. However, when it comes to the riches of the art, another kind of people could never be neglected, who also play a very important role in preserving and promoting the lasting value of our society.
   Undoubtedly, if there are no artists creating the amazing and mysterious articles, the spiritual fortune of our human beings will be nearly a blank. From the Venus of Milo to the Guernica of Picasso, from the Les Miserables of Hugo to the Stray Bird of Tagore, all of these masterpieces come from the fantastic imagination and abstruse thoughts from the artists. Great articles are not only charming and attractive but also contain abstruse thoughts about the society, the human beings, the faith and so forth.
   However, the lasting value of the society must be admitted by the society firstly. What is called lasting value? Firstly, the lasting value of a society must be valuable. It is the measures of value and beauty that decide whether an article is regarded to be valuable or not in a society. And the critics, who judge and express their constructive advices and insights, complete the procession. Generally speaking, the critics are more sensitive and aesthetic than a layperson, and they are always capable of interpreting the abstract art languages in a pellucid way. Just as the gold need to be examined by the touchstone, the articles, no matter how predominant they are, will need to be taken out of countless other articles and endowed with its deserved social value. Although some of the masterpieces are neglected in the era when they are created and finally be recognized by the critics maybe hundreds of years ago, yet it will be not hard to imagine what may happen if there are no critics in our society. Without the recognition from the critics, the articles will be just like a piece of ore that has not been proved out, or only a common stone. We cannot expect the unproved ore can bring complicit economical value to our society, as well as we cannot predict the value contained in an article which is even not considered to be art in a society.
   Furthermore, it is the critics who promoted the procession of the development of the nascent art. To exemplify this viewpoint, here is an instance that is very persuasive. Zola, the famous writer and critic in the 19th century, made great contributions to the development of the Impressionism, which is regarded as the precursor of the modern art. The Impressionism faced great challenge when it was born, for the reason that the Classicism is the mainstream of the society then, and the Impressionism gave up the contour lines emphasized a lot in Classicism. Zola is one of the critics who support and encourage the impressionists to develop their own kind of style, and with his help, more and more people accept this kind of art, which get popular all over the world then.
  In sum, it is hard to answer whose contributions are more important to the lasting value of the society, just as it is hard to say whether the egg or the hen turns up earlier. So both artists and critics are necessary for enriching the lasting value of our society, and to this extend, our educational system should emphasize not only the creativity of art but also the aesthetic ability of the youth.

觉得B1不妨先定义一下什么是lasting value然后就明确了

可是应该怎么定义呢?
我对于要建立在对某个概念的定义基础上的文章特别头疼,是可以按照自己理解的内容定义就可以了吗?

这个从艺术家和批评家两个角度说事有点太广,就单单从一个角度的正反方进行揭示,我是从批评家这个角度写的
支持批评家:1总的来说,充当漏斗,把BAG作品剔除,留下GOOD作品,让人们认识更多的艺术家和他们的作品。没什么好例子,白话多
            2 从帮助人们了解一个作品,更多的了解这个艺术家和他的作品,凭借批评家的功底,EG,DALI。超现实主义画家,ABSTRACT,所以人们不能理解,批评家就指导我们怎样专业的理解,了解它的价值。
反对批评家(也就是支持艺术家,并且攻击上面的假设)
            3根据现有的评价标准评价,就僵硬,这样出来的艺术就不能叫艺术,继续白话
            4帮助人理解的功能也可以被其他人代替,EG,学校的艺术老师,也可以指导,而且不会像职业批评家考虑到自己利益而左右评价
整个论证关系,先找到支持批评家的原因假设,然后攻击假设,观点平衡。属于结论型论证
               

Is it the artist, who gives soctety something of lasting value, rather than the critic? I concede that the critic serves as an aid to enhance the quality of the arts, and indeed helps the viewers better understand and appreciate art works; however, it is a truth that the arist serves to offer something more worthwhile than the critic in socitey over times.

Admittedly, the critic plays a significant role in improving the development of the arts-in terms of their effects on recommendating many perfect art works to the public. First, the critic serves as a filter,which can get out of the bad art works from various works, and then the better ones can be left with us. The critic recommendates such prominent art works, which are worth our time and our understanding, to the public. Accordingly, more and more maybe art genius but temporarily not famous and their equally outstanding works are recognized by the public, and if they can endure the history's long time judgment ,then such artists and their works can be remembered by the history .

Condider their impact on fostering viewers' further appreciation. After all, the critics are the people who possess  expertise of evaluation, a good sense of aesthetics, and are more familier with a certain artist and his or her works, as well as the whole background of contemporary art. On a level, their knowledge, if more qualified as much, serves to help the viewers more understanding certain artists, and the themes and value of their works, as well as the importance and status of both in art history. For instance, surrealistic images by Dali, who is one of the most important artists in 20-th century, are virtually regarded as extremely abstract and obscure over past times, but now are more understandable to  the people,with the help of art critics.   

On the other hand, the two foregoing function is still qestionable after close analysis. In fact, we can aslo see that critism is no more than an assitant to transmitting and disseminating the impact of art. However, it is something of creation , imagination, and more meanling that can be more worthwhile and valuable to society, and of course it is the artist better than the critic. Moreover, the critic performances his or her evaluation towards artists and their works on the basis of the rigid and already established parameters .Consequently, if art were just shaped as such certificates, then query whether art should be called art. Besides, we also consider that probably certain critics would take into account their own self-economic concerns.

finally, the other function of the critic,perhaps, could be executed by some school teachers with a good sense of aesthetic and appreciation as well. As far as we know  art teachers majoring such as in music, drawing, photography, architecture, in almost every grade schools, high ones, as well as the colleges, are nearly subjected to a good art edication or training, and could be qualified to give the students a good guide of the arts by objective,fair and reasoning judgment. Nevertheless, those so-called professional critics stand to misguide the viewers, and mislead us towards the coverse direct of works' original objective.

To sum up, the speak mostly has a common sense on how to evaluate the respective values of the artists and the critic. Although the critic contributes greatly to development of art, it is the artist that provides more lasting value to society. After all, art is the product of the instinctive emotions of the artist, the creative genius of the artist, and the genuine creation of his or her spirits. All such merits ,finally,generate the true art.

优点1,你的白话写的比我的好听,确实,都是我想写的,但是我写出来就很考验人的眼睛了:P
      2  观点虽然大众化路线,但还是应外变于不变。提倡
不足1,各个观点或者说是各个段落要平衡(新东方说的),你的段落有的长有的短~~
       2 例子起码要有一个嘛~~譬如第三段,可以举PICASSO这些生前倒霉死后荣耀的牛人,平时多准备点这种例子,这类的题,例子变变就可以到处用了~
       3 articles。。是文章的意思。艺术家的作品可不是只有这个哦~art work~用这个吧

楼上的写法我觉得OK。
楼上的写法应该是强调了评论家把lasting value 展示(give)给社会。我个人是比较赞同这种写法的。艺术家创造艺术品,而评论家负责让社会认识到作品的lasting value,不过评论家会误伤一些超越时代的作品。

zhizhi同学这句话:艺术作品中的价值必须被认可才可以成为社会价值的一部分。表达相同意思,不过需要把主语换一下,有的时候改换句子的写法对表达很有帮助。(不过这点我常做不到。呵呵。)

至于lasting value的定义。。。怎么好写怎么定义呗。懒得想了。。。不受那罪了。呵呵

我总是对于论点的逻辑思路把握的不透彻,都是按照正负负,正正负去写,所以写起来感觉不够深入,stephanie_wang那一篇逻辑结构上感觉好很多。
嗯, 继续努力,呵呵
