我从来都觉得能听懂就行了。即使每个词都听得很清楚，想抄下来也很费劲，而且对整体的把握都失去了。

We know then, that in the United States, it's the job of Congress to review proposed new laws, which we call "bills". And perhaps to modify these bills, and then vote on them. but even if a bill passes in Congress, it still didn't become a law until the president has a chance to review it too. And If it isn't to the president's liking, the bill can be vetoed, or killed, in either of two ways. one is by a veto message. The president has ten days to veto the bill by returing it to Congress, along with a message explaining why it being rejected, this keeps the bill from becoming a law unless overwelming majorities of both houses of Congress voted to overide the president's veto, something they rarely do. Often,  lawmaker simply revise the vetoed bill and pass it again. This time the form presidents is less likely to object to, and thus less likely to want to veto. The other way the president can kill a bill is by pocket veto, here's what happens. If the presidents does not sign the bill within ten days, and congress adjourns during that time, then the bill will not become law. Notice: that is only the end of an entire session of Congress that the pocket veto can be used, not just whenever the congress takes the shorter break, say for a summer vocation. After a pocket veto, that particular bill is dead, if the lawmakers and Congress want to put the matter  in the next session, they'll have to start over with a brand new version of the bill.

从这篇文章来看，还是应该选B的，尽管他花了很大篇幅去说veto，但是每次说完veto，他都有讲，在总统veto以后，议会会对这个bill采取怎么样的措施是revise还是放弃，还是重新审议或者是绝大多数众参两院来推翻总统的veto. 这样看来，文章总体还是在说B.

呵呵，这篇我还有点儿印象，好像读的特别快，我当时第一遍也没有听出来什么，呵呵，不好意思了，好像我也是选了c，因为老听见里面veto veto的。不过，这样看来听力也不能完全根据单词出现的频率来作判断啊，尽管单词频率这个方法在大部分情况下还是比较好使的。

肯定不会是选D， 首先原文没有提到大多数的cotton是被怎么处理了，其次，原文只提到欧洲，并没有说到英格兰。

我那个时候用的是新东方03年的那本白皮的托福讲义，把里面的听力的习语短语记熟了，然后还看了吴聊写的的那本托福听力的弦外之音，里面的习语短语记了一些，我那个时候就是这么去做的，觉得效果还可以。

不好问我有关资料的问题了，我的资料都是人家借我的。我的那个同学有什么，我就都要过来了。大概也就一本白皮的讲义，然后几本真题，一堆磁带，还有本单词书。我姐夫以前给了我一本托福听力的弦外之音。呵呵，我自己还买了一本02-03年的真题配磁带。我的材料就这么多。我也没有去上过新东方的托福班。我觉得我所有的东西已经足够了，然后我自己就拿着这些东西跑到一个没有电脑的老宿舍住了一段时间静下心来好好复习。真的，我觉得真题，加磁带，再加上习语的一个习语表（这个在新东方的讲义上面有总结的），我觉得已经很齐全了。其他的材料看多了乱心。

实际上，我觉得很多习语如果实在不知道的话，可以猜一下了，把自己的想象力发挥一下，很多时候，还是蛮准的。我只是觉得如果对于一门语言要是里面的每个单词每个习语你都认认真真地去看去记，除非你很有毅力，我觉得一般人很难这么去做到。我只是觉得对于一门语言，你应该是去体会这门语言中的一种感觉，就好像我们小时候学习汉语似的，尽管有些汉语中短语可能我们第一次听到，但是我们一样可以猜出它的意思来，我们甚至还可以自己造些词出来，发挥一下自己的想象力了。呵呵，这种语言的感觉，太玄了，我也说不清楚了，呵呵，自己体会体会。
