Because of television and worldwide computer connections, people can now become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. As a result, tourism will soon become obsolete.

With the high development of television and internet, people in the modern society can be familiar with almost every corner of the world by traveling around the "global village" at home with a television or a computer. Thus, some predicts as the speaker does, tourism will decline because of the impact of the high technology. However, I disagree with such statement and stand on the opposite side.

The development of the connections between states and even countries offers many facilities for modern people to know and be familiar with a certain place easily. Needless to step out of the house, a huge amount of information on traveling will be presented in front of our face, just by opening the television or loading onto the internet. Nowadays, people do not lack such experiences as accessing a place from in those ways. They may know a lot of places like Maldives, the Great Wall, the Fuji Mountain which their fathers never have heard. They could even tell every detailed streets and temples in the capital of Tibet. Moreover, they are almost the expert of the eating and customs of a tiny island in the Pacific Ocean.

Being familiar with a place, thus in turn we lose interest in it? The speaker claims so. But in my point of view, the facilities will help to attract travelers to those fascinating places. On one aspect, the technologies offer the possibilities for more people to know about a place which may hide in the big ocean or millions of miles away from where they resides. Without the widespread advertising effect, one place, especially some infamous one, could hardly make such a big market all over the world. On the other hand, fast connections between traveler and the traveling places will be beneficial in that it can provide facilities to order a room in the hotel or preplan the route of their travel.

Furthermore, by traveling to some places by oneself, one can gain far more than from visiting them on television or internet. From the television and internet the best entertainment is to view, sometimes to watch others entertaining. It is true that we can see the fascinating landscape of a beautiful mountain, or we can hear the music played by the sea wave on a quiet island. But after all we are just a witness at best. The great delight of being just in the environment like playing with the natives, digging holes on the beach to capture crabs, enjoying the whole tiredness and triumph of climbing a mountain could never provided by the television and the internet.

All in all, rather than suffering a decline, the tourism is more likely to be thriving thanks to the merits of the convenient communication all around the world. People today live in an era in which travel will become more convenient and more popular.

呵呵 本来还想给你改点的 后来觉得像在读范文一样，敬！
Nowadays, people do not lack such experiences as accessing a place from in(in需要么？) those ways.(就这一句读着不像范文里的，有点别扭）
还有就是觉得你在反对的时候，写便利，写好处不怎么充分 写得太少了~~
