11 All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems.

The establishment of a global university which aims at the persistent social problems is a great idea. For it can promote the mutual understanding between countries. And both the developed countries and developing countries will benefit from it. So, it is a wise investment for every nation.

The global university provides the young people from all over the world a place to communicate with each other, therefore prevent some social conflicts. By communications, the young people will know more about the differences between the countries, be acquainted with the culture of other countries, and be familiar with the different costumers and different social conditions in different countries. This kind of mutual familarity will promote people from different counties get a mutual understanding. Thus, a lot of conflicts even wars can be prevented. The global university where students from all over the world gather together will greatly contribute to the communication among the countries, and promises a more stable international situation.
   
The developed countries will benefit from the global university. By going to the global university, the students in the developed countries will be stunned by some social problems they hardly encounter or even dream of, such as starvation and lacking of education. By being aware of so many people in the world are still suffering from hunger, they will be more precious of their wealthier lives; by getting the knowledge that there are still a host of people cannot afford the fundamental education, they will more cherish their chances of their study; by seeing so much people suffering from war, they will be more grateful the peace in their own countries. Further, when they study into the persistent social problems of the developing countries, they will get knowledge of how the problems emerge and develop, thus they may help prevent similar miserable conditions in their own countries. The global university gives the students of the developed countries a new angle to see the world, make them cherish their better life and avoid similar mistakes of the developing countries.

For the student of the developing countries, in the global university, they can learn more about the developed countries, about how they grow up and thrive, and even more importantly, learn about the social problems the developed countries encountered during their development. Take the issue of the relationship between economic development and natural environment for example. Some developed countries have already tasted the bitter result of developing without taking much care about the natural environment, and paid high price to restore the natural environment. Through getting knowledge of this, the students of the developing countries can warn their countries about this, and help to develop some environmentally friendly strategies.

However, the feasibility of establishing us a university is open to doubt. Firstly, the position of the university would cause a heated debate. Since the uniqueness of the university, all the nations may want the honor of building the university on their own land. And the choice of the position may finally develop into a huge social problem. Secondly, asking every nation to provide equal fund for the university is unfair and unrealistic, for the people of some countries still worries about food and shelter. So how should different nations support the university is a question to be discussed. Thirdly, in order to grant all the nations the same right in the university, a complex rules should be developed. Otherwise the university would be invalid to achieve its goal of solving persistent social problems. And establishing the rule will be a hard task.

All in all, a global university is beneficial to all the counties and the whole world. But, before it is established, a lot of work should be done to ensure it works successfully.

开头的话.......还是把负观点的一方面亮出来吧

提个意见,仅供参考。
题中说了solving the world's most persistent social problems,我觉得这里面隐含了一个shared by all nations,而在文章里,将国家一分为二,好像是将问题割裂开来讨论,一是觉得与题目相关程度不够,二觉得整体来看逻辑性不够强。
另外,第二,第三段,讲大学的优点,我觉得其实就是在阐述一个词:communication.两段都在讲developing 和 developed countries 之间的better communication带来的好处。不是不可以,不过,全球性的大学应该有更多的益处可讨论,比如集中全球的财富,所以享有更多的资源,不同国家人不同的思维方式所带来的灵感火花等等,有满多可以说的。
就这么多了,语言很流畅,我是达不到的:)

我觉得那个全球普遍的社会问题并不一定shared by all nations阿
不过经你一说我也觉得分成发达国家和发展中国家考虑有点不妥拉~~

突然觉得普遍性也可以作为讨论点。
