Public figures such as actors, politicians and athletes are of no difference with any other common people as human beings. Theoretically they enjoy any of the rights other people have, with no exception to the right of privacy. However, in present day’s society, those public figures are bound to lose some of their privacy due to a series of reasons which are sometimes out of the control of themselves.

Today, whenever we turn on the TV, surf on the internet or read the newspapers, stories of some celebrities fill up everywhere. On TV, there are specially produced programs covering how those famous people are living their life; on the internet and the newspapers columns of those stars often are put in a striking place to attract people’s attention. The issues brought to the public’s eyes are quite broad: how those people become successful, what they are recently doing, their family life, love affairs, failures, divorce and scandals. The list can go a long way. The life of these famous people is fully exposed to the public and every aspect is shown clearly.

How does this happen? A lot of people blame it is the fault of the profit-oriented mass media. Actually this is true. To attract more customers and audience, the entertaining programs and columns of the mass media take it a high priority to gain first-hand information of the famous people in the first time at the first place. To accomplish this, the reporters assigned to make programs or write journals of the celebrities equip themselves with the most advanced digital cameras or videos, find easy access to fast transportation tools, sacrifice their sleep or habitual dining, either hide themselves at the place where the victims are to appear or formally invite the celebrities to come to their programs to expose their personal lives to the public. No matter how the interviewed feel about it, the reporters are determined to find out whatever information they are seeking which are of the audiences’ interests, and some of the very private issues could be brought up to the table. For instance, the Oscar Award winner, the famous actress Necole Kidmman recently was publicly confronted by the question how she felt about the dear former husband Tom Cruise’s marriage to another actress even though it is known that she still loved him. She was so unhappy to mention this that she almost lost her temper in the press conference. But no matter what those celebrities react, the reporters are just like honey-seeking bees who are always ready to pose the most sentimental and irritating questions to them even though this may lead to some negative or terrible result, as the case in Princess Diana.

But while we are complaining how pervasive the mass media are and how rude and unbearable the reporters could be towards our beloved idols, we can never forget that it is us, the audience or the reader, who originate all these. Who are the mass media trying to please and then make money from? Just because there is the big potential market need of those programs or reports that the mass media attaches so mush efforts to produce them. The general public have fostered a kind of habit to find out what the famous people are really like. Sometimes it is because the celebrities are so doing so well that we begin to envy them, it soothes us to find out they also have so many troubles and unhappiness. It makes us well-balanced mentally. Sometimes just out of curiosity or real concern, we enjoy knowing everything of a particular star, because they can be our model or just like a public friend or lover to give us some kind of psychological satisfaction.

But everything must have a limit, and it is true with our chasing of the privacy of the celebrities. There is much to improve for us as individuals and a society as a whole to cool down our craze towards them. Anyway, if we do like them, we can do something such as by not affecting their normal lives; if they make us disgusted, just leave them alone, for they do not worth our attention.

[我觉得本文跑题了。原文的主语全是public figure，他们应该如何如何；但你的角度是在说媒体和观众， 写成“媒体和观众对明星的态度”了。正确的应该是“明星应该如何面对媒体和观众对其隐私的关注”。在用一两段说明明星的隐私时常被曝光之后，应该把重点放在他们应该如何面对，他们的隐私是否应该得到保护，等等。你说呢？]

这是我原来写的一偏文章,今天因为写的没保存就先把以前的一个拿出来交了,呵呵,所以你有点眼熟
