All nations should help support the develop niversity designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems.

Is it necessary for all nations help to establish a global university in order to solve some most persistent social problems? This question raises several issues about both politics and education. I concede that a global university will be helpful. On balance, however, I generally disagree with the speaker that we should put aside all other problems to support such a university.

Admittedly, a global university will help to solve some of the most persistent problems since students are taught the connection of all human and to get along with each others who are from different countries.If there is such a university, less nemesis will be remembered and more friendship is established.Consider, for example, the solution of the racial problem in America. The blacks are protected to have equal educational right as the white and they  go to the same school with the white. It is the education of generations gradually changed people's mind about the black. Now, the situation of blacks have much been improved and a high social concord, in comparison with some other countries,  is formed in United Stated.

Albeit this point is reasonable to some extent it only plays a ,if any, supplementary role in my negative judgement; based on my cognition and observed facts, I persist in my view that this method can not be used.

To begin with, all nations have many other problems besides the conflicts with other countries. Some nations are worried about poverty; some are disturbed by economical turmoil; and some are concerned about illness, internal conflicts, and religious problems. So it is difficult, or even impossible for them, such as the African countries to use their money, which may  be far below their needs, to help support the development of a global university.Besides, some other problems also exist. Where should this university be built? Who should be allowed to go to this university? Who, or which country ,should be in charge of this university?All these questions seems unanswered and will definitely lead to more violent quarrels.

Second, another important reason for my proposition is that there are so many other ways to solve this problems. For instance, the countries with different culture can have more communications. Recently, French and China have organized a culture communication exhibition, which drew so much attention from both countries and also solidifies the harmonious relationship between the two. We can also eliminate the hostility by our domestic education. Now, some countries still combine the political opinions with their education. For example, some countries' text book use questions about killing soldiers as their example of mathematics. In this case, it is impossible to wish a mutual understanding between these countries.

In sum, as my contentions performed above, I find indefensible in the suggestion of a global university;but I fundamentally think we can employ some better ways instead of this one. In an era of rapid social and technical changes leading to increasing life complexity and psychological displacement, a global university is still somewhat ideal.
