48题很多人选C，其实C是错的，因为原文中是说European modernists。而不是modern European artists，因为modernists是现代主义者（不要取字典上的现代人之意，因为这样翻译在文中说不通），而不是指modern European artists。这两者之间有本质的不同。48题应选B,我的解释与这位网友完全相同：

  这句话有点问题,sandals 怎么可能protection against cold,凉鞋应该是为了在天气热时穿起来舒服,应该是 protection against warm才对啊
