占位,明天早上高定
先贴自己的,一会吃完午饭改改各位大仙的
It is not a recent debate about the relationship between money and success. While some people put much emphasis on the ability of earning money and admire it as the sign of success, others may go to the opposite and look down upon the former trend, searching for other things as the marks of a successful people. As my point of view, money is one of the choices we could select for representing success, but it can not replace other valuable things in lives.
In the first place, money, the most significant thing indicated one’s wealth, can be used as a medium to exchange many other products and services, thereby creating a illusion that people who earn a lot of money are successful. However, we need to discuss the whole problem in a more detailed way. For instance, many people increased their saving from a good investment on stock market by chance. In this situation, we identify these people as lucky ones rather than the successful. Apart from these exceptions, the ability of obtaining money do reflect the attainment of one’s career to some extent. As we know, not until the day when one could combine his or her persistence, skills, luck, and etc with the outer economic conditions can he or she earn a lot of money. Hence, in this sense, money can stand for success.
However, only money itself can not represent the broad meaning of success. We should not narrow our definition of success to one’s property. Firstly, many rich people may sacrifice many other things in their lives for their money. As a result, their happiness, families and so on, may all be taken away with the coming with money. In a word, they become a slave of money. Of course we cannot classify them as successful people. Additionally, many people obtain other things such as fame, or attainments in one particular research field which may not transfer to money directly but also could be treated as a sign of success.
To conclude, I strongly hold the belief that despite its importance, earning a lot of money would always be an optional goal for life. Thus, it can not be the only standard for judging one’s success.
改二楼的
Topic about the criteria of evaluating success has been discussed numerous times in modern society, and, debates roses on whether we should only consider people who earned a lot of money successful. Although many do hold the idea that being rich equals to(equal好象是及物动词) success, I insist success means much more than that.
When mentioning success,(状语省略的时候好像主从句的主语应该一致) such words as contributions, achievement(这里并列是不是该用复数啊), and devotion come into our brains. Success, an appealing word, has so many great contents that call for people’s efforts and virtues to gain it. A king who rescued his country using his intelligence, courage and strong will is successful; a merchant who has found a giant business kingdom is successful; a military leader who won many crucial wars and battles facing on horrible enemies fearlessly is successful and admirable. (这么多并列其实可以不都用系表结构,看上去会生动些)And, a teacher who cultivates his students with all his energy and love is success(successful) too, not mention those who won the peace award of Noble Prize for their selflessness in their career for the wellbeing of all humans in the world. Success is not only the wealth people have, either simply the ability of earning money, but also, and even more, the contributions to the society and the lives.
Admittedly, money is one of the factors to evaluate success in most cases, especially today. But money takes only a small part of the whole. Almost all the people(all people, all of the ...) regard Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, the richest man in the world as a successful figure. However, if money is the only standard, is he still one of the most successful people when he decided to donate all his fortunes to the society? Or not until the day he earn back(没有见过earn back) all the money he once had should he be success? So many heroes of our nation, who gave up their wealth, as well as comfortable lives, contributing themselves into fighting and striking for the whole nation, won’t be neglected of their huge success in the history.
So, in views of so many factors involved in the definition of success, money shouldn’t be the only standard of success, and people should put more emphasis on other elements that do good to more people in the world.
少了一些连介词过渡,整体来说还是挺好的,唉,最差还是自己的啊
